Fifth-ranked Vytautas (15-13) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Lietkabelis (20-8) in Prienai on Saturday. The visitors from Panevezys managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected easier game. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But Vytautas won second period 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lietkabelis forced 19 Vytautas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (209-79) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Australian swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Lietkabelis' coach Kazys Maksvytis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
