The Regular Season in LKL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 6 rounds.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vilnius. Second ranked Lietuvos rytas faced 4th ranked Neptunas. Host Lietuvos rytas (22-8) smashed guests from Klaipeda (17-13) 82-62. The game was mostly controlled by Lietuvos rytas. Neptunas managed to win second period 29-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international Rokas Giedraitis (198-92) who scored 19 points. International power forward Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Chris Lofton (188-86, college: Tennessee) who recorded 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-8 record having five points less than leader Zalgiris. Neptunas at the other side keeps the fourth place with 13 games lost. Lietuvos rytas are looking forward to face Dzukija (#8) in Alytus in the next round where they are favorite. Neptunas will play at home against Nevezis (#9) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Leader Zalgiris delivered the twenty seventh victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Nevezis (6-24) 82-54 in Kedainiai. It was a good game for international point guard Lukas Lekavicius (180-94) who led his team to a victory with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Edgaras Ulanovas contributed with 14 points for the winners. American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) replied with 9 points and 6 rebounds for Nevezis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris (27-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Nevezis lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 24 games lost. Zalgiris will play against Vytautas (#5) in Prienai in the next round. Nevezis will play on the road against Neptunas (#4) in Klaipeda and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Prienai was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Juventus (16-14) played at the court of sixth ranked Vytautas (16-14). Vytautas managed to secure a 8-point victory 95-87 on Saturday. Dzukija at the other side keeps the eighth place with 22 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Siauliai (#10) on the road.
