The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

Bottom-ranked Siauliai managed to get a fifth victory on Wednesday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked P.Zvaigzdes 98-87. The game was mostly controlled by Siauliai. P.Zvaigzdes managed to win second period 28-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Siauliai looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Tomas Lekunas (201-93) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) contributed with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. The former international power forward Egidijus Dimsa (204-85) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for P.Zvaigzdes. P.Zvaigzdes' coach Ramunas Cvirka rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Siauliai maintains tenth place with 5-26 record. P.Zvaigzdes at the other side keeps the seventh position with 18 games lost. Siauliai are looking forward to face higher ranked Nevezis (#9) in Kedainiai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. P.Zvaigzdes will play at home against Vytautas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
LKL top team - Zalgiris (28-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Vytautas (16-15) in Kaunas 84-59. It was a great evening for German power forward Isaiah Hartenstein (211-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points and 8 rebounds. Lukas Lekavicius helped adding 6 points and 8 assists. Zalgiris' coach Sarunas Jasikevicius felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Regimantas Miniotas (206-96) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Zalgiris have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 28-3 record. Defending champion Vytautas keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Juventus. Zalgiris will play against Neptunas (#4) in Klaipeda in the next round. Vytautas will play on the road against P.Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Alytus was also quite interesting. Second ranked Lietuvos rytas (23-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Dzukija (8-23). Lietuvos rytas managed to secure a 5-point victory 78-73 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for Jimmy Baron who led the winners and scored 18 points and 4 assists. Lietuvos rytas' coach Rimas Kurtinaitis used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Paulius Morkeliunas came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds for Dzukija in the defeat. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Lietuvos rytas. They maintain second place with 23-8 record having five points less than leader Zalgiris. Loser Dzukija keeps the eighth position with 23 games lost. Lietuvos rytas will meet at home Juventus (#6) in the next round. Dzukija will play against Lietkabelis in Panevezys and hope to secure a win.
The game between fourth ranked Neptunas (18-13) and 9th ranked Nevezis (6-25) in Klaipeda ended with biggest points difference. Neptunas outscored guests from Kedainiai 90-53.
