Third ranked Lietkabelis (23-9) beat at home 8th ranked Dzukija (8-24) by 8 points 70-62, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Dzukija won third quarter 12-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Lorenzo Williams (190-84, college: Rice) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds and Australian swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta) who added 11 points during the contest. Center Karolis Guscikas (205-92, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Jimmy Gavin (190-91, college: Winthrop) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lietkabelis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lietuvos rytas. Dzukija lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 24 games lost. Lietkabelis will face league's leader Zalgiris in Kaunas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dzukija will play at home against Siauliai (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
