T71 Dudelange are the Diekirch League champions. They handed the second straight defeat to Amicale in the title series to bag the trophy. Tom Schumacher (190-PG-87, college: Cal.Baptist) stepped up with 33 points, 6 boards and 4 assists to lead the winners. T71 dominated in the first quarter. Their aggressive offence helped them to 26 points as they gained an 8-point lead. Amicale turned things around in the second stanza. They reacted with a 29-point effort to level things up at 47. T71 were back in control in the third stanza. They accumulated an 8-point advantage before the fourth quarter. However Amicale were not done just yet. They rushed back to narrow the gap in the dying minutes. Tom Schumacher stepped up for T71 in the crucial moments sinking 4/4 free throws and sealing the winning outcome at the end. Denell Stephens (190-F/G-86, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Slippery Rock) finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Gilles Ruffato (181-PG-85) and Frank Muller (194-F/C-88, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 12 points each for the winners. Reggie Golson (201-F-81, agency: Court Side, college: SE Missouri St.) answered with 26 points for Amicale. Eric Jeitz (191-G-86) netted 19 points in the loss.
T71 Dudelange celebrated the Luxembourg Cup trophy. They held off Amicale to defend the title. Ryan Sharry (203-F-89, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Middlebury) stepped up with 22 points and 19 rebounds for T71 and was named the MVP. T71 started the game overwhelmingly strong. They poured in 28 points in the starting quarter and secured a 10-point lead. Dudelange enlarged their lead in the second quarter. They arrived at halftime up by 15 points 51:36. Amicale could not match the tempo in the third quarter. They faced a massive 23-point deficit heading into the fourth term. T71 loosened the grasp in the fourth frame and Amicale were able to narrow the gap. But the final outcome was quite clear as T71 cruised to the victory. Lee Fisher (195-F-89, college: Chicago St.) answered with 25 points and 15 boards for Amicale. Samy Picard (196-PF-88) had 13 points in the loss.
