For Contern, Brandon Gary (202-F-83, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Hutchinson CC) had a monster of a game with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 6 blocked shots and 3 steals. Eric Jeitz also shone for Contern with 24 points followed by Ken Diederich and his 19. Contern is now 1-3 in the title group and in 5th place in the DBBL. Sparta is 2-2 in the title group and is in 4th place. Next Sunday, March 21st, Contern goes to Etzella and Sparta plays host to Musel Pikes.

Musel Pikes was the better team Saturday night in Dudelange... ...but only during the 1st quarter. Pikes took a commanding lead of 15-26 and looked like they could put in a serious bid for an upset road win. Then the tides changed. T71 went on a huge 2nd quarter run to take a 46-38 halftime lead. Musel Pikes was the better team Saturday night in Dudelange... ...but only during the 1st quarter. Pikes took a commanding lead of 15-26 and looked like they could put in a serious bid for an upset road win. Then the tides changed. T71 went on a huge 2nd quarter run to take a 46-38 halftime lead. In the second half it was more of the same. T71 blew Musel Pikes out and took over sole posession of 2nd place in the DBBL title race. Tom Schumacher was on fire, scoring a game high 31 points. Frank Muller added 24 points and Andre Abreu 11 followed by Denell Stephens (192-G-86, agency: ZAG Advocates, college: Slippery Rock) with 10. Musel Pikes struggled from the free throw line where they only made 6 trips and score 2 times for 33%. Fletcher Walters (201-F-86, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Amherst) had the game's only double-double with 22 points and 10 rbounds. Jannik Tuffel and Laurent Schwartz added 12 points each. Martin Rajniak did not play due to an ankle inury. Next weekend T71 will travel to Steinsel to play Amicale on Saturday, March 20th and Muel Pkes must go to Bertange and face off with Sparta on Sunday, March 21st.
