Eric Breland Luxemburg had the chance to speak with National 2 club BC Mess US Forward Eric Breland (196-F-83, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) about the start of the new season.

1. How does it feel to be back on the court?
It feels great to be back on the court again. Now that training camp and the preseason is over just looking forward to starting the league games. We start the season on Saturday so there's is a lot of excitement right now. Hopefully well come out play hard and get the win.

2. Tell us about your current team and how the pre-season went so far.
Well we have a young team that is very quick with a lot of good shooters. We also have a first year coach in Jerome Alff who I like playing for a lot. He demands a lot from the whole team. We started off with a very intense training camp. Our preseason was good we played mostly nationale 1 teams and gained a lot of much needed experience from it before the start of the season.

3. What can we expect from your team this season? Can you compete for the title?
I think you can expect to see a little of everything from our team offensively as we can play half court or run in transition just as well. Were a very aggressive defensive team. If we can play this way throughout the season and make the top 4 I think it is very possible for us to compete for the title. It still early and were getting better everyday so if we come out and play our game anything is possible.

4. What are your personal goals for this year?
My personal goals for this season first and foremost is to help my team compete at a very high level and make my teammates better. Being though I didn't play last year my main goal is to contimue to get better and stay at the top of my game. I also want to be a leader in scoring and rebounding as well as maintain my all around game and be considered one of the top players in the league.
