Former international power forward Frank Muller (194-F/C-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked T71, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12. The 23-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Soleuvre (#7, 5-7) with 39-point margin 103-64. It allowed T71 to consolidate first place in the Diekirch League. T71 has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. In the team's last game Muller had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at T71, through which he has constantly improved. Former Cuesta JC star has very solid stats this year. Muller is in league's top in points (7th best: 22.6ppg).
The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old Canadian Billy McNutt (203-F-85) of Heffingen. McNutt had a very good evening with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he lead Heffingen to another comfortable win 79-62 over slightly lower-ranked BBC Nitia (#10, 1-11) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Heffingen left the very bottom place moving slightly to 9th position. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Heffingen managed to get this year. McNutt is a newcomer at Heffingen, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#8). He also registered 11.3 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was Croatian forward Ivan Djerman (203-F-83) of Amicale (#4). Djerman showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Amicale, leading his team to a 84-69 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Basket Esch (#6, 6-6). Amicale needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Djerman has a very solid season. In 12 games in Luxembourg he scored 13.8ppg.

Kasey Ulin (184-PG-82) of Sparta - 20 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists 6. Guy Schmit (187-G-80) of Musel Pikes - 26 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists 7. Philip Perre (198-F-79) of Musel Pikes - 22 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists 8. Eric Jeitz (191-G-86) of Amicale - 22 points and 8 assists 9. Dimitri Jorssen (212-C/F-79) of Soleuvre - 19 points and 11 rebounds 10. Corey Raji (198-F-88) of Etzella - 26 points and 11 rebounds
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. Ciclista Juninense (TNA) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American guard Aaron Harrison (198-95kg-93, college: Lynn). He played most recently at Arantia in Luxembourg Total League. In 13 games he recorded very impressive stats: 25.2ppg, 10.3rpg, 3.8apg and 3.0spg (leader !!!) last season. Harrison helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. He received All-SSC 1st Team award in 2015 at his college time. Harrison graduated from Lynn University in 2015 and it will be his second season in pro basketball.

Telstar Hesperange (N2) landed American point guard Quincy Smith (183-77kg). He just graduated from Hawaii (NCAA). Smith has played there for the last three years. In 33 games he averaged 7.8ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.7spg last season. Smith helped them to win Big West Tournament and end the regular season at the top position.
