Finland had no troubles to beat Luxembourg last night in Contern. It was a huge 45-92 win for the guests, who now have 3-2 record in Group E of the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications. Luxembourg faced with fifth loss for the same number of games. It was a game without a history. Finland took control on its rival from the beginning and never looked back. Quarters: 14-22, 13-14, 12-28, 6-28. Taru Tuukkanen (190-C-77, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Xavier) was the MVP of this game with valuation 39. She had 25 points and 18 rebounds. Tiina Sten (189-G/F-85, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: St.John's) scored 18 pts (5 rebs) and Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (175-G-91) added 11. Lisy Hetting (173-G-90) posted 12 points for the hosts. Their second scorer was Cathy Schmit (170-G-90) with 9 pts. Finland will host Greece on Wednesday, while Luxembourg will play in Latvia.
