Finland posts the initial win at the U16 European Championship in Division B. The Finnish side grabbed 89:82 victory over Luxembourg and improved to 1-1 record. Luxembourg meanwhile fell at 0-2 record in Group A. Timothy Kauffmann (191-F-96) scored half of the points for Luxembourg but it was not enough for the win. His team trailed 17:23 after the first period and had 33:45 at the halftime. Finland looked better in the game and added another 24-22 in the third quarter. Timothy Kauffmann scored four three-pointers in a row to reduce to 79:77. Henri Niemisto (194-G-96) however was perfect from the free throw line and brought the necessary win for the Finnish side. Elias Eerikinharju (185-G-96) top-scored for the winners with 18 points for the first victory. Henri Niemisto notched 15, while Samuli Nieminen (200-F-96) added 12. Timothy Kauffmann erupted with 41 points in the losing effort, while Oliver Vujakovic (192-F-96) had 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Black Star Mersch announced the signing of their second import player. They agreed on terms of contract with Jarvis Williams (198-G-89). Black Star is the first pro team in his career. Jarvis Williams has just graduated from the Minnesota State University. He posted 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in his senior season. Soleuvre bolstered their roster for the next season. They filled in two import spots. The team has agreed on terms of contract with Ryan White (177-PG-88, college: Texas St.) and William Walker (200-F-87, agency: Warren Sports International, college: Bethel, IN).

He participated at the Danish League All-Star Game back in 2007. Mike Oppland was Austrian SuperCup winner in 2013 as well as Austrian Cup winner in 2012. Mike Oppland is a twin brother of Dan Oppland (203-F-84, college: Valparaiso). Both brothers played for Gmunden for the last two seasons.
