Luxembourg U18-Norway U18 85:59

Luxembourg sent Norway to the 20th place at the U18 European Championship in Division B. Luxembourg needed an 85:59 win to finish on the step higher.
Both teams tried to finish the campaign with the victory, however Luxembourg deserved it more. Although they trailed 11-14 in the first period, they managed to produce 26-9 in the second frame and added massive 36-16 in the last stanza. Goergen and Gutenkauf scored the last points for the winners to seal the victory.
Jo Hoeser (193-PF-94) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Yann Wolff (196-PF-94) collected 13 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas Grun (194-PG-95) also scored 13, while Alain Gengler (202-C-94) had 12. Espen Fjaerestad (192-SG-94) replied with 13 points in the losing effort and Marko Lepovic (193-F-94) added 9 points and 12 rebounds. Vuk Krivokapic (193-SF-95) produced 8 points in defeat.
Both teams made the same number of Assists 14. Norway meanwhile had more Steals 13 versus 5.

Residence Walferdange (Total League) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American power forward Julian Scott (203-107kg-90, college: Adams St.). Bottom-ranked T.Hesperange managed to get a thirteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked Black Star in Mersch 90-79. T.Hesperange (13-11) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Grengewald. Black Star at the other side keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. T.Hesperange is looking forward to face Preizerdaul (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Jones' double-double lands him (Second Stage) Player of the Week award - 5 days ago
33-year old power forward Mike Jones (203-F/C-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Heffingen and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage). He had a double-double of 35 points and 25 rebounds, while his team beat Arantia (#3, 6-19) 92-80. Heffingen maintains the 2nd position in their group in Luxembourg league.
