There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Diekirch League.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Contern (1-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Sparta (2-0) 88-71. The game was mostly controlled by Sparta. Contern managed to win second period 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kasey Ulin (181-PG-82, college: Dickinson St.) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Julien Hublart (192-88) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Leon Powell (200-88, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Strategic Sports) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Sparta is looking forward to face Amicale in Steinsel in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Contern will play on the road against Residence in Bereldange and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Belvaux supposed to be also worth to mention about. Etzella (2-0) played at the court of Soleuvre (0-2). Etzella smashed Soleuvre 85-61. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Anthony Simpson (203-87, college: Kent St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 21 rebounds. William Arre contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Etzella's coach Amadeo Dias felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Torye Pelham (198-87, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Strategic Sports) replied with 25 points and 9 rebounds for Soleuvre. Etzella will play against Musel Pikes in Stadrbredimus in the next round. Soleuvre will play on the road against Black Star in Mersch and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Stadrbredimus was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Residence (1-1) played at the court of Musel Pikes (1-1).
