American Anthony Simpson (203-C/F-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Etzella and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 25-year old had a double-double of 27 points and twenty one rebounds, while his team crushed team Soleuvre (#10, 0-2) with 24-point margin 85-61. Etzella is placed at 2nd position in Luxembourg Diekirch League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Etzella won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Simpson had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Etzella's top player in his first season with the team. Kent State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Simpson. Simpson is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.0ppg) and averages solid 65.4% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old American forward Ryan Sharry (203-F-89, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) of T71. Sharry impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he lead T71 to another comfortable win outscoring Black Star (0-2) 103-83. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Sharry is a newcomer at T71 and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#3). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was international forward Samy Picard (196-PF-88) of top-ranked Amicale. Picard scored 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Amicale, leading his team to a 77-62 easy win against Basket Esch (#8, 0-2). Amicale has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Picard also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Picard has a very solid season. In 2 games in Luxembourg he scored 16.5ppg.

Ciclista Juninense (TNA) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American guard Aaron Harrison (198-95kg-93, college: Lynn). He played most recently at Arantia in Luxembourg Total League. In 13 games he recorded very impressive stats: 25.2ppg, 10.3rpg, 3.8apg and 3.0spg (leader !!!) last season. Harrison helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. He received All-SSC 1st Team award in 2015 at his college time. Harrison graduated from Lynn University in 2015 and it will be his second season in pro basketball.

Telstar Hesperange (N2) landed American point guard Quincy Smith (183-77kg). He just graduated from Hawaii (NCAA). Smith has played there for the last three years. In 33 games he averaged 7.8ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.7spg last season. Smith helped them to win Big West Tournament and end the regular season at the top position.
