The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Sparta (9-1) in Stadrbredimus on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Musel Pikes (5-5) 82-68. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Sparta. The game was mostly controlled by Musel Pikes. Sparta managed to win third quarter 25-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Musel Pikes shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Sparta helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Trenton Wurtz (203-F-83, college: Indiana St.) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Brandon Gary (202-83, college: Hutchinson CC) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Larrie Smith (198-75, college: Tenn Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Musel Pikes moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Contern. Defending champion Sparta still keeps top position with one game lost. Musel Pikes is looking forward to face Residence (#7) in Bereldange in the next round. Sparta will play at home against Contern (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Belvaux was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Residence (4-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Soleuvre (4-6). Soleuvre managed to secure a 8-point victory 78-70. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Mychal Green supported him with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds by forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Residence. Soleuvre moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Residence and T71. Soleuvre will play against higher ranked Etzella (#3) in Ettelbruck in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Residence will play at home against Musel Pikes in Stadrbredimus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Dudelange was also quite interesting. Third ranked Etzella (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked T71 (4-6). Etzella defeated T71 85-73 on Saturday. Anthony Simpson fired 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Tom Schumacher produced 21 points and 5 assists for lost side. Etzella maintains third position with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Sparta. T71 at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Residence and Soleuvre. Etzella will meet at home Soleuvre (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. T71 will play against Black Star in Mersch and hope to secure a win.
Fourth ranked Contern (5-5) crushed at home 9th ranked Basket Esch (3-7) by 23 points 86-63, which is the biggest margin this round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Basket Esch. Newly promoted Contern maintains fourth position with 5-5 record, which they share with Musel Pikes. Basket Esch at the other side keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. Contern's next round opponent will be league's leader Sparta in Bertrange and it may be the game of the week. Basket Esch will play at home against the league's second-placed Amicale (#2) in Steinsel.

In the last game of round 10 bottom-ranked Black Star lost to Amicale on the opponent's court 80-90.

Soleuvre - Residence 78-70

The game in Belvaux was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Residence (4-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Soleuvre (4-6). Soleuvre managed to secure a 8-point victory 78-70. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 29-26 Residence's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 78-70 at the end of the game. Residence was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Mychal Green (193-83, college: Ohio) supported him with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The game in Dudelange was also quite interesting. Third ranked Etzella (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked T71 (4-6). Etzella defeated T71 85-73 on Saturday. T71 was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-12 charge of Etzella, which allowed them to win the game. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. American power forward Anthony Simpson (203-87, college: Kent St.) fired 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import forward William Arre (199-86, college: Lock Haven) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Etzella players scored in double figures. International point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) produced 21 points and 5 assists and American forward Ryan Sharry (203-89, college: Middlebury, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Etzella maintains third position with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Sparta. T71 at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Amicale - Black Star 90-80

Very expected game in Steinsel where 10th ranked Black Star (1-9) was defeated by second ranked Amicale (8-2) 90-80. Black Star was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 55-41 second half run of Amicale. They made 31-of-35 charity shots (88.6 percent) during the game, while Black Star only scored seven points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by Black Star helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international Samy Picard (196-88) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American forward Lee Fisher (195-89, college: Chicago St.) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. American power forward Billy McDaniel (201-84, college: Ark.-Monticello) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Terry Bryant (185-85, college: SE Louisiana) added 24 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Black Star. Amicale have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-2 record behind leader Sparta. Black Star lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Amicale's next round opponent will be Basket Esch (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Black Star will play against T71 in Dudelange.
