An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bertrange. First ranked Sparta faced 4th placed Contern. Host Sparta (10-1) defeated guests from Luxembourg (5-6) 71-63. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 8 points. Sparta forced 20 Contern turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kasey Ulin (181-PG-82, college: Dickinson St.) who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Larrie Smith (198-75, college: Tenn Tech) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Leon Powell (200-88, college: SE Missouri St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Newly promoted Contern keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Sparta are looking forward to face league's second-placed Amicale in Steinsel in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Contern will play at home against Residence in Bereldange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Bereldange was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Musel Pikes (5-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Residence (5-6). Residence defeated Musel Pikes 83-72. American forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Pitt Koster contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. American power forward Brandon Gary (202-83, college: Hutchinson CC) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for Musel Pikes. Residence moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Musel Pikes. Residence will play against Contern (#4) in Luxembourg in the next round. Musel Pikes will play at home against Etzella in Ettelbruck and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 11 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Amicale defeated Basket Esch in Steinsel 72-68. Etzella beat Soleuvre at home 84-80. T71 won against Black Star on the opponent's court 103-98.
The best stats of 11th round was 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists by Terry Bryant of Black Star.

Basket Esch - Amicale 68-72

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Basket Esch (3-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Amicale (9-2) 72-68. Basket Esch was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Amicale made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. International Samy Picard (196-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points. American forward Lee Fisher (195-89, college: Chicago St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International Martin Rajniak (204-78, college: CSU Bakersfield) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Jibril Hodges (188-84, college: Long Beach St.) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Basket Esch. Amicale have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-2 record behind leader Sparta. Basket Esch at the other side keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Amicale will play against league's leader Sparta in Bertrange in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basket Esch will play on the road against T71 (#7) in Dudelange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Etzella - Soleuvre 84-80

No shocking result in a game in Ettelbruck where third ranked Etzella (8-3) defeated 8th ranked Soleuvre (4-7) 84-80. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Soleuvre was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 44-39 second half run of Etzella. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Anthony Simpson (203-87, college: Kent St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward William Arre (199-86, college: Lock Haven) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Etzella players scored in double figures. Swingman Mychal Green (193-83, college: Ohio) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Soleuvre. Etzella maintains third place with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader Sparta. Soleuvre at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Etzella will play against Musel Pikes (#5) in Stadrbredimus in the next round. Soleuvre will play at home against Black Star in Mersch and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game in Mersch where 10th ranked Black Star (1-10) was defeated by sixth ranked T71 (5-6) 103-98. The guests were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 32-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. International point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!). American swingman Denell Stephens (190-86, college: Slippery Rock) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four T71 players scored in double figures. American point guard Terry Bryant (185-85, college: SE Louisiana) answered with 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Billy McDaniel (201-84, college: Ark.-Monticello) added 22 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Black Star. T71 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Black Star lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. T71 will play against Basket Esch (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Black Star will play against Soleuvre in Belvaux and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game in Bereldange was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Musel Pikes (5-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Residence (5-6). Residence defeated Musel Pikes 83-72. The game was mostly controlled by Residence. Musel Pikes was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Residence especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots).
