Bottom-ranked Racing (0-9) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to seventh ranked T71 Dudelange (3-6) 77-69 on Sunday evening. Racing was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. T71 Dudelange forced 26 Racing turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Lydia Bridenbaugh (178-F-89, college: W.Virg.Wesl.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Her fellow American import power forward Tonya Young (187-89, college: Vermont) helped adding 23 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds. T71 Dudelange moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sparta. Racing at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. T71 Dudelange is looking forward to face Basket Esch (#7) at home in the next round. Racing will have a break next round.
The game in Esch was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Amicale (5-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Basket Esch (2-7). Amicale managed to secure a 6-point victory 74-68. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Meghan Gardler (180-88, college: Connecticut) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Petra Manakova accounted for 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds for Basket Esch in the defeat. Amicale maintains fourth place with 5-4 record. Basket Esch at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Amicale will play against Sparta (#5) in Bertrange in the next round. Basket Esch will play on the road against T71 Dudelange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Bertrange was also quite interesting. Third ranked AB Contern (7-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Sparta (3-6). AB Contern defeated Sparta 61-50 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Bridget Yoerger who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Bracey Ulin produced 17 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AB Contern have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 7-2 record behind leader Etzella. Newly promoted Sparta keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with T71 Dudelange. AB Contern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sparta will play against Amicale (#4) in Steinsel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Racing - T71 Dudelange 69-77

Basket Esch - Amicale 68-74

Basket Esch was ahead by 10 points at the halftime before a 43-27 second half run of Amicale. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Meghan Gardler (180-88, college: Connecticut) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Czech power forward Petra Manakova (195-82, college: Oakland) accounted for 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American guard Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and the former international point guard Andrea Haris (168-78) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for Basket Esch in the defeat. Amicale maintains fourth place with 5-4 record. Basket Esch at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. The game in Bertrange was also quite interesting. Third ranked AB Contern (7-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Sparta (3-6). AB Contern defeated Sparta 61-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AB Contern. Sparta managed to win third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American power forward Bridget Yoerger (180-87, college: S.Dakota, agency: LBM Management) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. German center Nadine Grieb (184-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Bracey Ulin (188-85) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Esmeralda Skrijelj (180-95) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
