An interesting game for Sparta (11-1) which played road game in Steinsel against second-best Amicale (9-3). First ranked Sparta had an easy win 101-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Amicale. The game without a history. Sparta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for the former international forward Larrie Smith (198-75, college: Tenn Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Kasey Ulin (181-82, college: Dickinson St.) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winners. Sparta's coach Rainer Kloss used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Lee Fisher (195-89, college: Chicago St.) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds for Amicale. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-1 record. Amicale at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Etzella. Sparta are looking forward to face T71 (#5) in Dudelange in the next round. Amicale will play on the road against Residence in Bereldange and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
The game in Stadrbredimus was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Etzella (9-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Musel Pikes (5-7). Etzella managed to secure a 4-point victory 75-71. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward William Arre (199-86, college: Lock Haven) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds and Anthony Simpson who added 18 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Trenton Wurtz (203-83, college: Indiana St.) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Etzella have a solid three-game winning streak. Soleuvre - Black Star 100-85

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Soleuvre (5-7) beat bottom-ranked Black Star (1-11) in Belvaux 100-85. The game was mostly controlled by Soleuvre. Black Star was better in fourth quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Soleuvre moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Residence and Musel Pikes. Black Star lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Soleuvre will play against Basket Esch (#9) on the road in the next round.
