Amanda Stowe
33-year old power forward Amanda Stowe (186-F/C-79) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Musel Pikes and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds, while her team outclassed Basket Esch (#7, 2-11) with 34-point margin 97-63. It allowed Musel Pikes to consolidate first place in the Luxembourg Diekirch League. Musel Pikes has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. Stowe turned to be Musel Pikes' top player in her first season with the team. University of Wisconsin - Green Bay graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stowe is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 61.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kayla Tetschlag (182-G/F-89) of Racing. She is American swingman in her first season at Racing. In the last game Tetschlag recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Racing lost that game 65-77 to slightly higher-ranked Sparta (#6, 5-9). Racing are still at the very bottom. 13 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Tetschlag is a newcomer at Racing and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#2). She also registered 13.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Musel Pikes' star - forward Christine Fisher (183-F/C-83). Fisher showcased her all-around game by recording 25 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. She was another key player of Musel Pikes, helping her team with a 97-63 easy win against the lower-ranked Basket Esch (#7, 2-11). Many experts and fans count Musel Pikes as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 12 victories and only one lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Fisher has a great season in Luxembourg. After 11 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.6rpg (4th best) and assists with 3.8apg (3rd best). She also has 2.4spg and FGP: 54.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Latoya Drake (188-F/C-86) of Sparta - 21 points and 17 rebounds
5. Esmeralda Skrijelj (180-G/F-95) of Sparta - 11 points, 23 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Bracey Ulin (188-F/C-85) of Sparta - 24 points and 13 rebounds
7. Tessy Hetting (184-SF-86) of Basket Esch - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Cathy Schmit (17-G-90) of Musel Pikes - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Nadine Grieb (184-C-87) of AB Contern - 13 points and 8 rebounds
10. Krystal Vaughn (185-G-86) of Basket Esch - 18 points and 12 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
