The game between Top Four teams took place in Steinsel. 4th ranked host Amicale (7-7) was smashed by second ranked Etzella (12-2) 85-66. The game was mostly controlled by Etzella. Amicale managed to win fourth quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Etzella forced 25 Amicale turnovers. American forward Jessilyn Conicelli (177-89, college: Biola, CA) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 21 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian guard Katie Donovan (178-82) chipped in 16 points, 6 assists and 6 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Meghan Gardler (180-88, college: Connecticut) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Amicale's coach Marc Marchetti rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Etzella have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-2 record behind leader Musel Pikes. Amicale at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost.

Power forward Amanda Stowe (186-79, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Christine Fisher supported her with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Musel Pikes' coach Erny Gruskovnjak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by forward Iasia Hemingway (180-89, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) did not help to save the game for T71 Dudelange. Musel Pikes have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-1 record. T71 Dudelange at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost.
Bottom-ranked Racing (0-14) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to seventh ranked Basket Esch (3-11) 85-54 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Cerie Mosgrove who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Kayla Tetschlag who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Basket Esch maintains seventh position with 3-11 record. Loser Racing still closes the standings with 14 games lost.


Musel Pikes - T71 Dudelange 92-76

Diekirch League top team - Musel Pikes (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked T71 Dudelange (6-8) in Stadrbredimus 92-76. T71 Dudelange was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded T71 Dudelange 48-31 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Musel Pikes players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by T71 Dudelange's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Amanda Stowe (186-79, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and power forward Christine Fisher (183-83) supported her with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to seventh ranked Basket Esch (3-11) 85-54 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Basket Esch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American guard Cerie Mosgrove (182-88, college: Massachusetts) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international guard Lisy Hetting (172-90) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Basket Esch players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import power forward Celeste Stevenson (180-82, college: W.Texas A&M) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively. American Guard Tasha Cannon (168-G-88) had a great game in the last round for Telstar, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The most shocking disappointment of round 9 in the Total League was a home defeat of 4th placed Musel Pikes (4-3) to eighth ranked Telstar (1-5) 79-65.
