Conicelli
American forward Jessilyn Conicelli (177-F-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Etzella, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 21 rebounds, while her team crushed Amicale (#2, 7-7) with 19-point margin 85-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory Etzella moved-up to the 3rd position in the Luxembourg Diekirch League. They are still close to the very top. Etzella would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-2 record. Conicelli turned to be Etzella's top player in her first season with the team. Former Biola University star has very solid stats this year. Conicelli is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.4spg.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Cerie Mosgrove (182-G-88) of league's leader Basket Esch. Mosgrove had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she lead Basket Esch to another comfortable win outscoring Racing (0-0) 85-54. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Racing managed to tie with Basket Esch at the very top position in the standings. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Mosgrove is a newcomer at Basket Esch, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Amanda Stowe (186-F/C-79) of Musel Pikes (#4). Stowe scored 25 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Musel Pikes, leading her team to a 92-76 easy win against slightly lower-ranked T71 Dudelange (#6, 6-8). Many experts and fans count Musel Pikes as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 13 victories and only one lost games.. Stowe has a great season in Luxembourg. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Christine Fisher (183-F/C-83) of Musel Pikes - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
