29-year old forward Trenton Wurtz (203-F-83) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Musel Pikes and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage). He had a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Residence (#5, 11-9) 68-63. Musel Pikes is placed at 4th position in Luxembourg league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Musel Pikes will need more victories to improve their 12-9 record. In the team's last game Wurtz had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Musel Pikes' top player in his first season with the team. Indiana State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wurtz is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 54.5% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Ryan Sharry (203-F-89, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) of T71. He is American forward in his first season at T71. In the last game Sharry recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as T71 was edged by Sparta (16-4) 84-83. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Sharry is a newcomer at T71 and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to another T71's star - swingman Denell Stephens (190-F/G-86). Stephens scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Stephens' great performance T71 lost 83-84 to Sparta (#1, 16-4). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The last thing T71 needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 10 lost games. Stephens has a great season in Luxembourg. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.9rpg (8th best).

Devin Taylor has just graduated from Slippery Rock University this year. He tallied 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in his senior season.
