Ryan Sharry
American Ryan Sharry (203-F-89, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) had a very impressive game in the last round for T71 and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage).
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 31 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team crushed Amicale (#2, 15-8) with 20-point margin 94-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. T71 maintains the 4th position in Luxembourg Diekirch League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. T71 will need more victories to improve their 13-10 record. In the team's last game Sharry had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be T71's top player in his first season with the team. Middlebury College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sharry is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 66.0% FGP and 41.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American power forward Brandon Gary (202-F/C-83) of Musel Pikes. Gary impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Musel Pikes cruised to a 87-75 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Etzella (#3, 14-9). Musel Pikes' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 13-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gary is well-known by Musel Pikes fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American forward Larrie Smith (198-F-75) of top-ranked Sparta. Smith showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sparta, leading his team to a 84-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Residence (#6, 11-11). Sparta confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 5 lost games. Smith has a great season in Luxembourg. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (9th best) and assists with 3.4apg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kasey Ulin (181-PG-82) of Sparta - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Trenton Wurtz (203-F-83) of Musel Pikes - 13 points and 14 rebounds
6. Lee Fisher (195-F-89) of Amicale - 13 points and 12 rebounds
7. Anthony Simpson (203-C/F-87) of Etzella - 18 points and 10 rebounds
8. Laurent Schwartz (180-PG-89) of Musel Pikes - 20 points and 3 assists
9. Dustin Scott (203-F/C-85) of Residence - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Samy Picard (196-PF-88) of Amicale - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
