N2 Round 11: Heffingen defeats BC Mess in the closest game of the week - Dec 4, 2016

Fourth-ranked BC Mess (6-5) gave a tough game to second ranked Heffingen (10-1) on Saturday. Heffingen managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Mess. Heffingen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-1 record behind leader Racing. BC Mess at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Heffingen are looking forward to face Grengewald (#6) in Niederanven in the next round. BC Mess will play at home against Kordall Steelers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
N2 top team - Racing (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Black Star (4-7) in Luxembourg 75-49. Undefeated Racing have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Black Star lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Racing will play against bottom-ranked Preizerdaul (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Black Star will play against T.Hesperange and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Preizerdaul (0-11) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to third ranked Kordall Steelers (9-2) 116-60 on Saturday evening. Kordall Steelers maintains third place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Racing. Preizerdaul lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Kordall Steelers will meet BC Mess (#5) in the next round. Preizerdaul will play against the league's leader Racing (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Belvaux was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Grengewald (5-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Soleuvre (2-9). Grengewald managed to secure a 8-point victory 68-60. Grengewald maintains sixth place with 5-6 record. Soleuvre lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Grengewald's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Heffingen at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Soleuvre will play against BBC Nitia (#9) in Bettembourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Soleuvre - Grengewald 60-68

Kordall Steelers (N2) signed experienced 35-year old American point guard Marcus Neal(196-PG-86, college: Delaware St., agency: Promotex).
