The most important game in the last round took place in Bereldange between third ranked Contern (8-4) and eighth ranked Residence (4-8) on Saturday night. Contern was defeated by Residence in a tough game on the road 90-94. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 28-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Residence shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. It was a good game for American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Jesse Reed (196, college: American) contributed with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American swingman Manny Atkins (198-91, college: Georgia St.) replied with 25 points and 9 rebounds for Contern. Residence maintains eighth position with 4-8 record. Contern at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Etzella. Residence are looking forward to face higher ranked Sparta (#5) in Bertrange in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Contern will play at home against T71 and is hoping to win this game.
Another interesting game for T71 (6-6) which hosted in Dudelange against 4th ranked Etzella (8-4). Seventh ranked T71 won 80-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Etzella. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Cory Johnson (202-88, college: Valparaiso) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 8 rebounds and Tom Schumacher who added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Derrick Barden (196-92, college: N.Colorado) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. T71 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Basket Esch. Etzella at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Contern. T71 will play against higher ranked Contern (#3) in Luxembourg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Etzella will play at home against Arantia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Total League top team - Musel Pikes (10-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Arantia (1-11) in Larochette 86-67. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by Clancy Rugg who had that evening a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds by Corday Sims did not help to save the game for Arantia. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Musel Pikes have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record, which they share with Amicale. Arantia lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Musel Pikes will meet at home Basket Esch (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Arantia will play against Etzella in Ettelbruck and hope to win that game.
Bottom-ranked Bascharage is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fifth ranked Sparta (7-5) 122-69. The best player for the winners was Brad Reese who scored 35 points (!!!). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sparta have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 7-5 record. Bascharage at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Sparta's next round opponent will be Residence (#8) in Bereldange. Bascharage will play on the road against the league's second-placed Amicale in Steinsel and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Esch was also quite interesting. Second ranked Amicale (10-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Basket Esch (6-6). Amicale defeated Basket Esch 80-69 on Saturday. It was a good game for Billy McDaniel who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Amicale have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Musel Pikes. Loser Basket Esch keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Amicale will face bottom-ranked Bascharage (#10) in Kaerjeng in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Esch will play on the road against the league's leader Musel Pikes (#1) in Stadrbredimus and hope to win that game.

The most impressive performance of 12th round was 21 points and 8 rebounds by Shavon Coleman of Amicale.

Residence - Contern 94-90

Musel Pikes forced 23 Arantia turnovers. Strangely Arantia outrebounded Musel Pikes 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds.
