An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Steinsel. First ranked Amicale faced second-best Musel Pikes. Host Amicale (24-2) defeated guests from Stadrbredimus (19-8) 102-93. Amicale looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Musel Pikes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Bob Melcher (189-94) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first place in League with 24-2 record. Musel Pikes at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Amicale are looking forward to face Etzella (#3) in Ettelbruck in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Musel Pikes will play at home against T71 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a good game for American power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Nikola Pavlovic contributed with 20 points for the winners. Uruguayan forward Facundo Alonso (195) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for BC Mess. BC Mess' coach Nigel Tolentino gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Heffingen maintains second place in League with 18-8 record having six points less than leader Amicale. BC Mess at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with 14 games lost. Heffingen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BC Mess will play at home against the league's leader Racing (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There was no surprise in Luxembourg where 5th ranked Contern (13-13) was defeated by third ranked Etzella (16-10) 85-77 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 8 points. The best player for the winners was Canadian power forward Billy McNutt (203-85) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Nelson Delgado (188-80) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Manny Atkins (198-91, college: Georgia St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Rene Wolzfeld (194-91) added 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. No shocking result in a game in Dudelange where fourth ranked T71 (14-11) defeated 6th ranked Sparta (11-15) 98-87 on Saturday. T71 shot 25 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Sparta only scored six points from the stripe. Sparta was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was international point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87) who scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American power forward Cory Johnson (202-88, college: Valparaiso) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Brad Reese (200-88, college: Texas Tech) added 20 points respectively. BBC Arantia Larochette (Total League) re-signed American swingman Ladarius Tabb (196-86kg, college: Alabama A&M). He was a team leader there last season. In 18 Total League games he was the best scorer with impressive 28.2ppg and recorded 14.4rpg (leader !!!), 1.9apg and 2.6spg (in top 3). A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Luxembourg League Honorable Mention. BBC Arantia Larochette (Total League) signed 26-year old American guard Xavier Pollard (193-95kg-91). He has only college experience while playing for Kent State University (NCAA).
