There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Racing (25-3) in Luxembourg on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Bascharage (4-23) 66-62. Strangely Racing outrebounded Bascharage 45-28 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Phillip Leonard (188-93, college: Mercer) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Emilio Parks (198-92, college: Johnson C. Smith) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Mark Ogden (206-94, college: Dixie St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Bascharage maintains fourth place in League with 4-23 record. Newly promoted Racing still keeps top position with three games lost. Bascharage are looking forward to face league's second-placed Residence in Bereldange in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Racing will play on the road against the league's leader Basket Esch and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Heffingen. First ranked Basket Esch (17-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Heffingen (18-10) 73-70 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in League. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian swingman Marko Latinovic (203-87, college: Erskine) who led the winners and scored 22 points. Bill Clark accounted for 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 22 rebounds for Heffingen in the defeat. Basket Esch maintains first place in League with 17-11 record. Newly promoted Heffingen keeps the second position with ten games lost. Basket Esch will play against league's leader Racing in Luxembourg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Heffingen will play on the road against Kordall Steelers in Rodange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Newly promoted Kordall Steelers keeps the third position with 12 games lost. Arantia will face BC Mess (#4) in Mondercange in the next round. Kordall Steelers will play at home against the league's second-placed Heffingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather expected game in Luxembourg where 5th ranked Contern (13-15) was defeated by second ranked Musel Pikes (20-9) 82-75 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) helped adding 24 points and 11 rebounds. International point guard Raul Birenbaum (182-89) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Jesse Morgan (196-91, college: Temple) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Musel Pikes maintains second place in League with 20-9 record having four points less than leader Amicale. Loser Contern keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. BBC US Hiefenech Heffingen (Total League) added to their roster 27-year old American power forward David Sturner (206-104kg-90, college: S.Oregon). He has played for the last two seasons at Dresden Titans in German ProA. In 26 games he had 10.3ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.4apg last season. Amicale - Musel Pikes 88:68 Amicale conquered the first trophy of the new season. They topped Musel Pikes to earn the SuperCup trophy. Musel Pikes jumped to a 25:19 lead after ten minutes. But Amicale used a 25:12 run in the second term to take a 7-point halftime lead. They went on a 21:7 run in the fourth period to seal a comfortable victory.
