The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Basket Esch (17-12) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by Racing (26-3) 79-76. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Basket Esch. Racing dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Esch's 18. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Scott Morton (195-87, college: Geneseo St.) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Louis Soragna (183-94) who added 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Bill Clark (196-88, college: Duquesne) with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Newly promoted Racing maintains first position with 26-3 record which they share with defeated Basket Esch. Basket Esch at the other side still keeps top place with 12 games lost. Racing are looking forward to face Arantia (#3) in Larochette in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Basket Esch will play on the road against BC Mess in Mondercange and is hoping to win this game.
Fourth-ranked Bascharage (4-24) gave a tough game to second ranked Residence (15-14) in Kaerjeng. The visitors from Bereldange managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bascharage. Residence have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-14 record having nine points less than leader Racing. Bascharage at the other side keeps the fourth place with 24 games lost. Residence will play against league's second-placed Heffingen on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bascharage will play against Kordall Steelers in Rodange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Third-ranked Arantia (8-22) gave a tough game to fourth ranked BC Mess (13-16) in Mondercange on Friday. BC Mess managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected easier game. The best player for the winners was Elijah Bonsignore who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Duke Mondy who recorded 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Newly promoted BC Mess maintains fourth position with 13-16 record. Loser Arantia keeps the third place with 22 games lost. BC Mess will meet at home league's leader Basket Esch in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Arantia will play against the league's leader Racing in Luxembourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Rodange. One of their biggest challengers host Kordall Steelers (16-13) lost to second ranked Heffingen (19-10) 81-73. Heffingen forced 19 Kordall Steelers turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Kordall Steelers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for guard Evrik Gary (191-91, college: Francis Marion) who led his team to a victory with 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Gary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Marlin Mason (201-93, college: Cleveland St.) replied with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Kordall Steelers. Four Kordall Steelers players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Heffingen maintains second position with 19-10 record having five points less than leader Racing. Kordall Steelers lost third consecutive game. Kordall Steelers at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third place with 13 games lost. Defending champion Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders (BBL) tabbed 24-year old American guard Phillip Leonard (188-91kg-93, college: Mercer). He played most recently at Bascharage in Luxembourg Total League. In 17 games he averaged impressive 23.1ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.8apg and 1.1spg last season.
