There will be only one (last) round of the Second Stage in Total League.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Racing (27-4) in Bereldange on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Residence (16-15) 75-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Racing. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The former international forward Oliver Vujakovic (192-96) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Kevin Moura (182-94) chipped in 28 points during the contest. American forward Mark Ogden (206-94, college: Dixie St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Racing's coach Pit Rodenbourg rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Residence maintains second position with 16-15 record having six points less than leader Racing. Newly promoted Racing still keeps top place with four games lost. Residence are looking forward to face Arantia (#3) in Larochette in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Racing will play at home against the league's second-placed Heffingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Esch. First ranked host Basket Esch (18-13) smashed one of their biggest challengers Kordall Steelers (17-14) 101-76. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Ben Kovac (190-0) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Bill Clark supported him with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Basket Esch's coach Franck Meriguet felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by American forward Marlin Mason (201-93, college: Cleveland St.) did not help to save the game for Kordall Steelers. Basket Esch maintains first position with 18-13 record. Newly promoted Kordall Steelers keeps the third place with 14 games lost. Basket Esch will play against Bascharage (#4) in Kaerjeng in the next round. Kordall Steelers will play at home against BC Mess and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Mike Jones produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests. Arantia maintains third position with 9-23 record having twelve points less than leader Racing. Newly promoted Heffingen keeps the second place with 11 games lost. Arantia will meet at home league's second-placed Residence in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Heffingen will play against the league's leader Racing in Luxembourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Elijah Bonsignore orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. BC Mess' coach Nigel Tolentino allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Mess have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted BC Mess maintains fourth position with 15-16 record which they share with defeated Bascharage. Bascharage lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 26 games lost. BC Mess' next round opponent will be higher ranked Kordall Steelers (#3) in Rodange and it may be the game of the week. Bascharage will play on the road against the league's leader Basket Esch and hope to win that game.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Heffingen. Arantia dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Heffingen's 36. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was swingman Ladarius Tabb (196, college: Alabama A&M) who had a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds. Guard Duke Mondy (193-90, college: Oakland) chipped in 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and guard Evrik Gary (191-91, college: Francis Marion) added 20 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Defending champion Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders (BBL) tabbed 24-year old American guard Phillip Leonard (188-91kg-93, college: Mercer). He played most recently at Bascharage in Luxembourg Total League. In 17 games he averaged impressive 23.1ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.8apg and 1.1spg last season.
