Luxol make it 2-2 in title series - May 8, 2012

Luxol celebrated a crucial win in the title series. They stole a road win over Loyola 59:55 to draw things level at 2-2 in the series. The decisive fifth game is scheduled for Sunday.
Loyola entered the game hopeful of clinching the title. The hosts surged ahead for a 16:11 lead after ten minutes. Loyola stretched the margin in the second frame. They accumulated a 32:23 halftime lead. Loyola stayed in charge in the third term. They made it 50:39 with ten minutes remaining in regulation. But Luxol opened the fourth stanza on an 11:2 run to narrow the deficit. Beverly Zammit (178-G/F-87) drained a three-pointer to tie things up at 55. Beverly Zammit then added two points to put Luxol in front. Desarae Johnson (185-F-88, college: Jacksonville) missed two free throws allowing Luxol to seal the victory at the end. Robin Murphy (183-F, college: S.Mississippi) knocked down 27 points to pace Luxol. Mandi Sciortino added 11 points in the winning effort. Desarae Johnson answered with 16 points for Loyola. Christina Grima (168-PG-89) netted 13 points in the los.

For the umpteenth time this season, Luxol recovered from a slow start to turn the tables on their opponents. This time their escape act saw them chalking up a crucial win that meant they had secured their 15th title in history. CAFFE' MOAK - Hibernians 42-32 CAFE MOAK bounced back from the loss in Game 3 of the Finals and rallied past Hibernians. The victory propelled Luxol to 3-1 lead in the title series. The game was mostly controlled by CAFFE' MOAK. Hibernians managed to win second period 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
