Malta - Scotland 80-57

Both teams celebrated in Day One of the 2012 European Championship for Small Countries in Ohrid. Malta managed to beat Scotland on Wednesday 80-57 for perfect 2-0 record in Group A. Thanks to this huge win Malta already booked a spot for the Semifinals. Scotland will have to beat last ranked Moldova today to reach the next stage. Malta got 20 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds from Rebecca Thoresen (178-F/G-78). Stephanie De Martino (184-F-93) scored 15 pts and Ashleigh Vella (188-F/C-90) added 14 pts, 6 rebs and 6 as. In Scotland, Mairi Buchan (188-C/F-90) shined with 20 points and 6 rebs. Deanne Hayward (170-G-91) scored 12 points and Gillian Baird (182-F-88) had 11 pts, plus 6 boards. Malta was up by 17 at the halftime and totally destroyed its rival after the breather. Rebecca Thoresen and her teammates made 27-9 in Q3 and all after that was just the formality.

For the umpteenth time this season, Luxol recovered from a slow start to turn the tables on their opponents. CAFFE' MOAK - Hibernians 42-32 CAFE MOAK bounced back from the loss in Game 3 of the Finals and rallied past Hibernians. The victory propelled Luxol to 3-1 lead in the title series. The game was mostly controlled by CAFFE' MOAK. Hibernians managed to win second period 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hibernians - CAFFE' MOAK 52-40 Hibernians earned the opening victory in the championship series. They snapped two-game losing skid and edged CAFFE MOAK at home court. The game was mostly controlled by Hibernians. CAFFE' MOAK managed to win fourth quarter 12-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
