Matt Glass
Floriana Francesco Fenech 3-2 on the season made a surprise move to many by releasing Phillip Thomas (203-F-89, college: Portland St.) whom was currently avg 27.4ppg (2) and 13.9rpg (2nd) in the league and will replace Thomas with Matt Glass (203-F, agency: Interperformances). Glass graduated college in 2012; Glass played 4 years of NCAA 1 Basketball with his first 2 years at UMASS and his final 2 season at Vermont. Glass avg 11.9ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.0apg for Vermont in 2011-2012; Glass also led Vermont to the NCAA 1 Tournament in 2012 after helping Vermont win their conference tournament in 2012. Vermont played Lamar in the first round of the NCAA 1 Tournament where Glass helped lead his team to a victory with 11pts, 2 rebs in Vermonts in the 71-59 victory. Vermont earned the chance to play the #1 seed North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2nd round of the Tournament where Vermont lost to North Carolina 77-58; Glass finished the game with 10pts and 3rebs for Vermont. This could be a move that will put Floriana Francesco Fenech over the top in the league but Glass will have to fill the shoes of Phillip Thomas whom was in the running for Player of the Year and PF of the Year with his first half performance.

Baskets and points were definitely not lacking in this encounter with both sides amassing a large number of shot attempts with a considerable good scoring percentage. Starlites had the lead for a substa...   [read more]
