Champions Falken Cynergi Virtus remained un-beaten in all competitions after their league victory against Pavi Depiro. They recovered Jacob Formosa but Thomas Grech was missing and Depiro had Darryl Schembri missing. Virtus netted the first six points of the game however slowly Depiro replied and leveled the score. Virtus then made a 15-0 run with several points by Chris Santo (196-F, college: St.Anselm) and although Depiro had a Timothy Zammit trey, Virtus were in front 24-11 in the first period. Depiro had the first two baskets in the second session followed by a 9-2 run by Virtus with a Shawn Pace triple to increase their lead 33-17. Depiro had a brace of hoops by Nicholas Grech and Vangelis Vlachos but Virtus also replied with points from Formosa, David Bugeja (180-SG-92) and Robert Bonnici for a 43-23 score at halftime. In the third quarter, Depiro opened with a 7-0 run with treys from Grech and Kurt Xuereb. Virtus also had a 9-0 run with points by Peter Shoults (168-G-85) and they also netted a couple of treys by Pace and Formosa for a 60-39 score. In the last session, there was another 12-0 run by the champions as they closed the match with two treys by Bugeja and won the game 86-50.

Floriana Cafe Del Mar replied to Virtus victory as they won against Hibernians 85-75. Floriana had Nikola Vasovic suspended for this match. The first session was very balanced as no team managed to obtain a good lead. Hibs had Kieron Caruana (178-F/C-97)'s triples which kept them in front as Chad Patus (203-F-87, college: Belm.Abbey) and Anton Axiaq replied for Floriana. Hibs closed the first session in front 21-19. Floriana opened the second session with a strong 17-4 run with treys by Patus and Nigel Sultana. Lee Ross (182-G-89) also had a triple for them before an 8-0 run by Hibs with treys from Stefan Vella and Luke Farrugia which saw Floriana's advantage cut to 2 points at the interval 40-38. In the 3rd quarter, it was Ross who hammered Hibs defence with his treys as Floriana opened again a double figure lead 52-41. Marco Matijevic replied for Hibs but Floriana hit back again with another Ross triple and points by Axiaq and Patus for a 66-54 score. In the last quarter, Simon Attard had two treys for Hibs to reduce the gap once more. Then Floriana settled the matters again with a 9-0 run as Hibs coach was sent off with his second technical foul. Hibs tried again as they had three consecutive treys from Farrugia, Paul Attard and Simon Attard but they had no more time as Floriana won the game 85-75.

Gzira Athleta strengthened their third place after the joint leaders with a victory against Bupa Luxol 92-67. Athleta had American Lee Fisher (198-F-89, college: Chicago St.) making his debut whilst Luxol had Tom Paris still missing. The game had a slow start with Luxol one point ahead 7-6 half way through the first session. Athleta replied with a 9-2 run with points from Michael Naudi and Nicolai Lubrano before a CJ Cordina triple for Luxol. Athleta were 20-18 ahead at the end of the quarter and opened the second period with treys from Daan Weirsum and Roderick Vella. Luxol's reply came mainly from Colt Fason (198-F, college: Ouachita Baptist) together with Cordina and Marco Mercieca however as soon as they leveled the score 26-26, Athleta hit again with another 8-0 run by Naudi and Fisher. Cordina replied with two consecutive treys but two more hoops by Fisher saw Athleta opening a 5 point advantage for half time 39-34. In the third quarter, Athleta started with an 8-2 run to increase their lead further. Jean Paul Bonnici replied with 2 triples for Luxol together with Cordina. Luxol were once more close to their opponents but then Athleta had two treys by Billy Zammit and opened an 8 point advantage for the last period 64-56. In the last session Athleta consolidated their advantage with consecutive treys by Vella, together with Weirsum and Lubrano as they won the game 92-67.
