There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Powerade League.

Round 8 most important game was a victory of Cynergi over second-ranked Bupa 89-76 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bupa. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 13 points. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-2 record. Bupa at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Athleta. Cynergi are looking forward to face league's second-placed Athleta in Birkirkara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bupa will play at home against Floriana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Athleta (5-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Hibernians (1-6). Athleta defeated Hibernians 65-53. Athleta have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bupa. Hibernians at the other side stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Athleta will play against league's leader Cynergi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hibernians will play against Starlites (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between fourth ranked Floriana (4-3) and 5th ranked Starlites (2-6) in Floriana on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Floriana outscored guests from 94-72. Floriana maintains fourth position with 4-3 record. Starlites lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fifth place with six games lost. Floriana will meet higher ranked Bupa (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Starlites will play against Hibernians and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Floriana - Starlites 94-72

The game between fourth ranked Floriana (4-3) and 5th ranked Starlites (2-6) in Floriana on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Floriana outscored guests from 94-72. The game was mostly controlled by Floriana. Starlites managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
