Two best teams of the Regular Season advanced to the Finals where UASM grabbed already 2-0 lead. ASEM tried really hard to steal at least one victory but could not do it and will try in May 16 on the third game of the Final.

UASM won the opener of the Finals 82:80 in a real thriller between two squads. The hosts opened the game with 32-22 and increased to another 5 points at the halftime. ASEM was too far to give up and responded with 22-12 in the third period to reduce the gap. Moreover they produced 14-11 in the last period but finished with 82:80 at the end. Ivan Cropotov (210-C-88) led the winners with 20 points, Nicolai Coputerco (192-G-85) nailed 17, while Evgheni Tcaci (195-F-85) scored 16. Vitalie Oprea (205-F-86) shined for the visitors with 29 points and Evgheni Nartov (200-F-87) posted 25. In Game 2 UASM was too good for the opponents winning all the quarters and the game itself 90:65. The favorites opened the game with 22-13 and added 18 -17 win in the second frame. A 21-10 in the third period and 29-25 were fatal for the guests that lost the second game in a row. Anton Rulevski (194-G/F-88) top-scored for the winners with 27 points. Priscepnii Vladimir poured in 14, while Evgheni Tcaci scored 13. Evgheni Nartov finished the night with 28 points in the losing effort.

The Regular Season in Moldova came to the end as UASM became the winner of it! The team smashed Spartak in the last round 121:55 to finish with 27 points. ASEM finished second with 25 points as in the last round the team lost to SDYUSHOR 78:98. The defending champions Gamma beat Orhey 71:65 after three losses in a row. Soroka basket had 91:79 over Fireball to finish with 16 points.
After the Regular season the spectators expect the Semifinal battles of the top teams.

Fireball Benderi is 5-2 on the third position of the league. The team overcame Gamma, Orhey, ASEM, Tiraspol and BC Spartak and lost only two games. UASM and Soroka were glad to beat the third team of the league. Not only the Championship, however the Cup is another event in the country. Recently Gamma lifted up the Trophy beating Argo in the Final 83:75. The latter tasted the lead for the majority of the game, however a 31-17 in the last period was a great push for the winners that triumphed in the game. Petr Skutelnik (190-G-85) top-scored in the game with 25 points, while Vladimir Kolesnikov (202-F/C-80) nailed 20. The latter was awarded the MPV of the Cup.
