Bracco Geas land Irina Crasnoscioc - Jun 19, 2011

Bracco Geas strengthened their frontcourt. They have agreed on terms of contract with Irina Crasnoscioc (191-F-81). The Moldovan forward spent the previous season in Pozzuoli. She tallied 6.7 points, 4.2 boards and 2.5 steals per game in A1. Previously Irina Crasnoscioc had stints in Hungary, Ukraine, Romania and Russia. Irina Crasnoscioc was named All-Ukrainian UBL Forward of the Year in 2009. She was also trumped All-Hungarian League Bosman Player of the Year in 2010. Irina Crasnoscioc is the member of Moldovan National Team.
In the meantime Bracco Geas parted ways with Karen Twehues (182-G-83, college: Cincinnati). The Swiss guard spent the last two seasons with the team. Last season Karen Twehues averaged 6.0 points, 1.1 boards and 1.1 steals per game in A1.


Vieru re-signs at UMMC Ekaterinburg - 3 months ago

UMMC Ekaterinburg (PBL) confirmed in their roster 27-year old Russian international center Natalia Vieru (196-89). She is a dual citizen owning also Moldovan passport. Vieru played there last season. In 17 PBL games she recorded 8.3ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5bpg. She also played 18 games in Euroleague where she averaged just 2.3ppg and 2.3rpg. Vieru helped them to win the Euroleague championship. USEFS clinch Premier League title - 6 months ago

USEFS are crowned Premier League champions. They beat Politeh-UTM 88:55 in the second game of the championship series to complete the sweep. USEFS looked dominant from start to finish. They registered a 19:8 lead ten minutes into the game. USEFS accounted for a 42:21 halftime advantage. USEFS nailed 27 points in the third term to clear off for good. ASEM claimed the Bronze medals. They swept the consolation final series versus Riscani following an 86:58 win in Game 2.   [read more]
