Moldova U18 finished third in Division C with 2-2 record. Last night Moldova U18 beat Andorra U18 74:63 to finish third with 2-2 record. Solopa paced all the winners with 15 points and Beloborodov scored 14. Brighach Abaslama ended up with 18 points in the losing effort.
Day 3 of the U18 European Championship Men Division C saw a thriller between Wales and Moldova at the Arena Domus. Wales grabbed 74:72 victory to remain undefeated. Moldova started with 23-20 and added massive 20-13 in the second period. Moreover after 18-15 in the third frame they enjoyed 61:48 lead after Vladislav Solopa (F-95) and Rothwell shots. The last quarter however belonged to Wales that erupted with 26-11 to win the game. Jacob Lloyd (185-G-94) and Trotman delivered the last points for the winners. Jacob Lloyd top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Khan posted 16. Vladislav Solopa replied with 23 points in defeat and Daniel Marcenco (197-C-93) collected 18 points and 16 rebounds.
In Day 2Moldova U18 improved to 1-1 record beating Gibraltar 73:31. Moldova started with 20-4 and added 18-12 in the second period. Another two victories in the second half allowed them to lead to the first victory at the U18 European Championship 2011. Vladislav Solopa paced all the winners with 15 points and Daniel Marcenco collected 11 points and 10 boards. Sawyer ended up with 11 points in the losing effort.
San Marino hot shooter Julian Gualtieri was voted the tournament MVP and is therefore invited by FIBA Europe to the U18 All Star Game at EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania.Sumiullah Khan and Jacob David Lloyd of Wales along with Vladislav Solopa and Daniel Marcenco of Moldova join Gualiteri in the All-Tournament Team.

The most important game in the last round took place in Balti between second ranked UA-BASCO (7-4) and fourth ranked Alfa Basket (6-6) on Sunday night. UA-BASCO was defeated by Alfa Basket in a tough game at home 78-84. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 44-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. An interesting game for Admirals UTM (8-3) which hosted in Chisnau 4th placed Alfa Basket (5-6). First ranked Admirals UTM had an easy win 91-64. The game without a history. Admirals UTM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Admirals UTM have a solid series of three victories in a row.
