Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Moldovans who are currently playing abroad.

Evgeni Scripcaru
Evgeni Scripcaru
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international forward Evgeni Scripcaru (195-83, currently plays in Czech Republic). Scripcaru led Olomouc Bbal to a 3-point victory over the ninth-ranked Ostrava (5-11) 70-67 in the Czech Republic 1Liga (second division) last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Scripcaru recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 4 assists. Basketbal Olomouc (9-8) is placed fifth in Group B. Scripcaru's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Scripcaru has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.2ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.1apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 56.3%(54-96), 3FGP: 38.2% and FT: 68.9%. Scripcaru played for the Moldovan senior national team seven years ago.

Vladislav Solopa
Vladislav Solopa
#2. Second place goes to former U18 international power forward Vladislav Solopa (202-95, currently plays in Romania). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Craiova (4-13) to beat CS Dinamo Bucuresti (5-13). It was not Solopa's best game last Sunday. He scored only 2 points in 2 minutes on the court. Craiova was edged 88-86 on the road by the higher-ranked (#9) CS Dinamo Bucuresti. It was Craiova's fifth consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Solopa's first season with the team. This year Solopa's overall stats are: 3.2ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 63.2%(12-19) and FT: 62.5% in 12 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Moldovan. Former BK Auto-Red Ribnita starter played for the Moldovan U18 national team in 2013.

Alexei Andrus
Alexei Andrus
#3. The Moldovan player who performed third best last week abroad was former international swingman Alexei Andrus (195-79, currently plays in Germany). Andrus was not able to help Zwickau in their game against Jena II (8-9) in the German Regionalliga (fourth division). He scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The 11th-placed Zwickau (5-12) was edged 88-87 at home by the higher-ranked Jena II (#9) in the South-East group. Andrus is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Zwickau's roster. Andrus has relatively good stats this season: 10.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 64.5%(40-62), 3FGP: 32.9% and FT: 78.6%. He is another player who holds two passports: Romanian and Moldovan. Former BC Fire Ball Bender starter played for the Moldovan national team five years ago.

Emil Ostafiiciuc
Emil Ostafiiciuc
#4. Center Emil Ostafiiciuc (208-94, currently plays in NCAA2) was not able to secure a victory for the one of league's weakest teams William Jewell College (2-8) in their game against the Lewis University in the NCAA2. Ostafiiciuc scored 6 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 18 minutes. The William Jewell College was edged 81-78 in Romeoville by the Lewis University. This year Ostafiiciuc's total stats are: 8.7ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.1bpg in 16 games. He is also Moldovan national team player.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Moldovan passport:

#1. Stanislav Zavadsky (213-C-87, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked VolinBasket (3-19) crushing them 80-48 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Saturday night's game. He scored 7 points in 15 minutes. Budivelnyk Kyiv (18-4) is placed second in the Superleague. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. It's Zavadsky's first season with the team. This year Zavadsky averages: 7.9ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.1bpg in nine games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Moldovan and Ukrainian. Despite Zavadsky's Moldovan passport, he previously played for the Ukrainian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Moldovan team.

Other top Moldovan players, who play abroad:

Aleksandr Gudumak (203-PF-93) plays for BC Nizhny Novgorod in Russian VTB
Alexander Skutyelnik (192-G-77) plays for Azovmash in Ukrainian Higher League
Andrii Kalnichenko (201-SF-86) plays for Cherkasy in Ukrainian Superleague
