MONTENEGRO - SWITZERLAND 69-39

Montenegro stays the top ranked team of 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications - Group B. They outplayed Switzerland tonight in Cetinje 69-39 for 5-1 record. Visitors faced with fourth loss in six games. Montenegro took control on Switzerland from the very beginning and never looked back. It was plus 16 for the host after ten minutes of play and plus 20 at the halftime. Visitors were not able to respond after the breather and Montenegro cruised to the final 30-point win. Jelena Dubljevic (191-C-87) scored 14 pts for the hosts and Iva Perovanovic (189-C/F-83) collected 12 points and 9 rebounds. Jelena Skerovic (176-G-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) helped her team with 10 points and 6 assists. Karen Twehues (182-G-83, college: Cincinnati) answered with 15 points for the guests. Marielle Giroud (180-F-87) (11 rebs) and Nseya Kassongo (187-F-87) scored 9 and 6 pts respectively. Montenegro will play in Poland on Saturday. Switzerland will host Serbia.

LF2 newcomer Valencia BC added to their roster 22-year old Montenegrin international power forward Kristina Rakovic (186-94). She already started the season at Buducnost in Montenegrin 1A ZCKL. Montenegrin post player Kristina Rakovic (186-F/C-94) joined Valencia (Spain-LF2). She will try to help the team from Valenica to avoid relegation in Spanish 2nd Division. Last season she played for Buducnost in Montenegro and won all throphies with the team from Podgorica (Adriatic League, National Championship and Cup).
