The hosts edge Montenegro in Sarajevo at the U18 European Championship in Division B. Bosnia and Herzegovina outscored Montenegro 82:72 and advanced to the Semifinals.
Bosnia and Herzegovina started with 23:15 in front of 450 fans in the hall. They added 18-14 in the second frame for 41:29 at the halftime. They managed to keep 10-point advantage throughout the third quarter and finished with 59:50. No matter how hard Montenegro tried to upset the hosts, they could not match the favorites. Bosnia added 23-22 in the last stanza for the final 10-point win.
Adin Vrabac (202-G/F-94) paced all the winners with 27 points and Nedim Buza (201-SF-95) had 21. Asim Ahmedic (200-PF-94) collected 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Stefan Glogovac (201-SF-94) notched 10. Milija Mikovic (205-C-94) answered with 16 points in defeat and Nikola Zizic (195-G-94) scored 14. Veselin Kovacevic (200-F-94) delivered 12 points, while Milovan Draskovic (208-C-95) chipped in with 8.
