We bring you last week's top performances from Montenegrins who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Nikola Vucevic (210-90, college: USC, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Orlando Magic (2-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Vucevic's good performance the Orlando Magic was defeated 82-74 on the road by the Brooklyn Nets. He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds. Vucevic also added 3 assists. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Vucevic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 11.1ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 47.3% and FT: 88.9%. Vucevic is currently a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Nikola Pekovic (209-86, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA). He led Minnesota Timberwolves to a victory over the Dallas Mavericks (5-4) 90-82 in the NBA on Monday night. Pekovic was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 28 minutes. The Minnesota Timberwolves have a solid 5-3 record this season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Pekovic has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 2FGP: 53.2% and FT: 71.9% in the seven games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #3. The Montenegrin player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup). Dubljevic was the major contributor in a Valencia Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Azovmash (0-2) 76-70 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. He scored 14 points (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valencia Basket (2-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Dubljevic's first season with the team. Dubljevic's overall stats this year are: 8.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 2FGP: 41.7%. He is also a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #4. Swingman Suad Sehovic (196-87, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague was not able to help Khimik (10-3) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Khimik was defeated 83-78 in Dniprodzerzhynsk by the much lower-ranked DniproAzot (#11). Sehovic was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 5 rebounds. Sehovic has relatively good stats this season: 12.4ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.7apg. He has a dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sehovic is also Montenegrin national team player.

   #5. U21 international power forward Marko Todorovic (210-92, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Assignia Manresa (0-7) crushing them 89-47 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. Todorovic recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Regal FC Barcelona (4-3) is placed ninth in the ACB. Todorovic's overall stats this season are: 5.2ppg and 3.5rpg. He plays currently for the Montenegrin U21 national team.

   #6. Power forward Filip Barovic (208-90, currently plays in Hungary), who plays in the Hungarian A Division was not able to secure a victory for Soproni (4-3) in their last game. Despite Barovic's very good performance Soproni lost 79-90 in Pecs to the lower-ranked (#9) PVSK Pannon. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Barovic also added 7 rebounds in 40 minutes. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. Barovic is currently first on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (fourth place). He has very impressive stats this year: 22.0ppg, 8.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1bpg in the seven games. Barovic is a former U20 international player as he played for the Montenegrin team two years ago.

International power forward Vladimir Dasic (208-88, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to Besiktas' victory against the sixth-ranked Lietuvos rytas (1-5) 73-67 in the Euroleague on Thursday night. He scored 10 points. Besiktas Istanbul (3-3) is placed third in group D. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Dasic's overall stats this season are: 5.3ppg and 2.0rpg. He is also Montenegrin national team player.

Power forward Nemanja Radovic (206-91, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to Vrsac's victory against the 11th-ranked BKK Radnicki (2-5) 89-77 in the Serbian A League last Wednesday. Radovic recorded 12 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. KK Vrsac (5-2) is placed fourth in the A League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Radovic is currently eighth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). He has very reliable stats this season: 14.9ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4bpg. Radovic used to play for the Montenegrin U20 national team last year.

   #9. Former international swingman Sasha Pavlovic (200-83, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Sacramento Kings (2-6) 103-86 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Pavlovic scored 6 points. The Portland Trail Blazers have 3-5 record this season. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. Pavlovic's overall stats this season are: 2.6ppg and 1.6rpg. He used to play for the Montenegrin national team four years ago.

Point guard Goran Martinic (184-87, agency: BeoExcell, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider CS Farul Constanca (0-8) crushing them 99-78 in the Romanian Division A on Saturday night. He recorded 20 points and had 3 steals. CS Municipal Bucuresti (5-2) is placed seventh in the Division A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Martinic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in CSM Bucuresti's roster. Martinic is currently first on the list of top scorers. This season he has very high stats. Martinic averages: 24.4ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.6apg and 1.9spg. He is a former U21 international player as five years ago he still played for the Montenegrin national team.

   #11. International point guard Omar-Sharif Cook (188-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, college: St.John's, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Italy couldn't help Armani Milano (2-3) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his good performance the fourth-placed Armani Milano was defeated 84-71 in Athens by the higher-ranked Olympiacos (#3) in the group C of Euroleague. Cook scored 11 points and added 5 assists. He is currently second on the list of best passers. Cook's overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 6.4apg and 1.4spg. He is a naturalized American. Cook plays currently for the Montenegrin national team. Strangely he has never played in Montenegro.

   #12. Former U21 international center Maksim Sturanovic (209-88, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Metalac 77-59 in the Serbian A League last Saturday. Sturanovic scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 18 minutes. He is currently first on the list of best blockers with 1.7bpg. This year Sturanovic also averages: 10.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3spg in the seven games. He used to play for the Montenegrin U21 national team back in 2007.

   #13. International power forward Milko Bjelica (205-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Caja Laboral Vitoria to win against the closely-ranked Valencia Basket 79-75 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Bjelica recorded 5 points. This season he averages only 3.6ppg. Bjelica is also Montenegrin national team player.

   #14. Former international forward Zarko Rakocevic (204-84, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Austria) contributed to a BC Vienna's victory against the closely-ranked Xion Dukes 79-74 in the Austrian A Bundesliga on Sunday night. He recorded 14 points and blocked 4 blocks in 33 minutes. Rakocevic is currently fourth on the league's list of best blockers with 1.0bpg. This year his other stats are: 15.8ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg in the six games. Rakocevic used to play for the Montenegrin national team back in 2009.

   #15. Former U21 international power forward Igor Bijelic (207-88, currently plays in Bosnia) helped Mladost win their game against the 11th-ranked Vogosca crushing them 88-66 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I in Saturday night's game. He recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Bijelic is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (seventh place). This season he has very high stats. Bijelic averages: 17.5ppg and 7.0rpg. He used to play for the Montenegrin U21 national team five years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Montenegrin passport but never been selected to any of Montenegrin national teams:

   #1. Nikola Mirotic (207-F/C-91, currently plays in Spain) led Real Madrid to a victory against the closely-ranked Gescrap BB (5-2) 98-84 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. He recorded 17 points and added 3 assists in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Real Madrid (7-0) is placed first in the ACB. So far his team won all seven games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Mirotic is ranked fourth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 15.1ppg. He also averaged so far 6.1rpg and 1.1bpg in the seven games he played so far. Mirotic has a dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Spanish. Despite his Montenegrin passport, Mirotic currently plays for the Spanish U20 national team and is not eligible to play for the Montenegrin team.

   #2. Brion Rush (186-G-84, agency: Beo Basket, college: Grambling St., currently plays in Euroleague) led his French team Chalon/Saor to a victory over the closely-ranked Asseco Prokom Gdynia (1-5) 76-70 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Rush was the best player in that game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 25 minutes. ES Chalon-Sur-Saone (2-4) is placed fifth in group B. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Rush has relatively good stats this year: 12.2ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.2spg in the six games. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Rush has never played in Montenegro.

   #3. Stevan Milosevic (211-C-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Georgia) was the major contributor in Olimpi's victory against the eighth-ranked TSU (1-3) crushing them 98-51 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 12 rebounds in 22 minutes. Olimpi Tbilisi (3-0) is placed third in the Superleague. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Milosevic is the league's best rebounder with 13.0rpg. He also averaged so far 14.0ppg in the three games.

   #4. Bojan Subotic (203-F-90, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to an overtime Zvezda's victory against the closely-ranked Cajasol (0-2) 95-93 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. Subotic scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Crvena Zvezda DIVA Beograd (2-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Subotic's overall stats are: 7.5ppg and 5.5rpg in the two games.

   #5. Filip Goranovic (205-C/F-85, currently plays in Bosnia) was the main contributor in a KK Radnik Bijeljina's victory against the 12th-ranked Zrinjski HT (1-3) 77-66 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I in Saturday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Goranovic recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 11 rebounds. KK Radnik Bijeljina (3-1) is placed third in the Division I. Goranovic is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 15.0ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.3spg.

   #6. Experienced Branko Cuic (197-G-78, currently plays in Romania) contributed to a Targu Mures' victory against the sixth-ranked Craiova 94-83 in the Romanian Division A in Monday night's game. Cuic recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in 37 minutes. Cuic is ranked fourth on the list of the best passers in the league with 5.7apg. He also averaged so far 16.1ppg and 6.1rpg in the seven games.

   #7. Mensud Julevic (200-PF-85, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Elektra win their game against the eighth-ranked Grosuplje 68-64 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 35 minutes. This year Julevic has relatively solid stats: 13.3ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3apg in the three games. He is another player who holds two passports: Montenegrin and Slovenian. Despite Julevic's Montenegrin nationality, he previously played for the Slovenian U21 national team and probably cannot be called to the Montenegrin team.

   #8. Dusan Djordjevic (195-G-83, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Belgium) helped Base Oostende win their game against the closely-ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut crushing them 81-54 in the Belgian Ethias League last Saturday. Djordjevic scored 9 points and added 7 passes in 27 minutes. Djordjevic belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #3 with 4.4apg. This year he also averages: 5.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.4spg in the five games. Djordjevic has both Serbian and Montenegrin nationalities.

   #9. Novak Popovic (207-C-81, currently plays in Bosnia) helped Capljina Lasta win their game against the fifth-ranked Borac Nektar 79-62 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I in Saturday night's game. Popovic recorded 14 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes. He belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #3 with 0.8bpg. Popovic also averaged so far 15.8ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg in the four games.

   #10. Vasilije Seferovic (193-G/F-85, currently plays in Serbia) helped KK Jagodina win their game against the eighth-ranked Konstantin 61-55 in the Serbian A League on Wednesday night. Seferovic was the best player in that game. He recorded 21 points (made all of his eight free throws) in 25 minutes. Seferovic is ranked sixth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 15.5ppg. This year his other stats are: 2.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg in the six games.
