Eshaya Murphy
Eshaya Murphy
#1. This week's number one is an international swingman Eshaya Murphy (182-85, college: USC, currently plays in Eurocup). She was the major contributor in a Dynamo Kursk's victory against the closely-ranked Botas (1-2) crushing them 86-62 in the Eurocup in Thursday night's game. Murphy recorded 18 points (made all of her eight free throws) in a mere 18 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group F. Dynamo Kursk (3-0) is placed first. So far her team won all three games in the Regular Season. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Murphy's first season with the team. She has individually a very good year with high stats. Murphy averages: 16.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.3apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 71.4% and FT: 94.1%(16-17) in the three games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Puerto Rican. Murphy is currently a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

Jelena Dubljevic

But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Dubljevic has relatively good stats this year: 12.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 56.3%(18-32). She is in the roster of the Montenegrin senior national team.

Iva Perovanovic

Despite her good performance the fourth-placed Nadezhda Orenburg was edged 79-76 on the road by the lower-ranked (#5) CSM Targoviste in the group B of Euroleague. Perovanovic recorded 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen.
