We bring you last week's top performances from Montenegrins who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Jelena Dubljevic (191-87, currently plays in Czech Republic). She led USK Praha to a victory over the seventh-ranked Valosun Brno (10-10) crushing them 117-55 in the Czech Republic ZBL in Saturday night's game. Dubljevic was MVP of the game. She scored 21 points, had 9 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals in 26 minutes on the court. ZVVZ USK Praha (20-1) is placed first in the ZBL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Dubljevic has relatively good stats this year: 11.4ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.9apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 59.5%(78-131), 3FGP: 17.6% and FT: 89.9% in the 20 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jelena Dubljevic. But that was another game of her team in Euroleague which we would like to mention. Skerovic contributed to a USK Praha's victory against the closely-ranked Mondeville (5-7) 56-51. She scored 7 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. ZVVZ USK Praha (5-7) is placed fifth in group C. It's Skerovic's first season with the team. Skerovic is ranked second on the list of the best passers in the league. This season she averages: 6.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 6.3apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 34.9%, 3FGP: 27.9% and FT: 77.3%. Skerovic is in the roster of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #3. The Montenegrin player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Ana Turcinovic (190-93, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL. She could not help Antakya (7-9) in their last game. Despite Turcinovic's very good performance Antakya lost 57-72 on the road to the leading Fenerbahce. She was the top scorer with 17 points. Turcinovic also added 9 rebounds in 26 minutes. It was Antakya's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Turcinovic has relatively solid stats: 12.8ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.3apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 46.3%, 3FGP: 66.7% and FT: 62.5% in the 10 games. She is also a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #4. Forward Milka Bjelica (193-81, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Turkey) was the main contributor in Besiktas' victory against the closely-ranked Samsun 73-72 in the Turkish TKBL in Saturday night's game. Bjelica was the best player in that game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 12 rebounds. Besiktas CT Istanbul (11-6) is placed sixth in the TKBL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Bjelica has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 20.5ppg, 10.8rpg, 3.0apg and 3.0spg. Bjelica used to play for the Montenegrin national team back in 2011.

   #5. Former U18 international swingman Ana Dabovic (183-89, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL was not able to help TED Ankara (6-10) in their last game. Despite her very good performance TED Ankara lost 67-77 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#5) Mersin. Dabovic was the top scorer with 20 points (made all of her seven free throws) in 37 minutes. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. Dabovic is currently fourth on the list of top scorers with 18.0ppg. This year she also averages: 4.3rpg, 3.1apg and 2.1spg in the 15 games. Dabovic used to play for the Montenegrin U18 national team six years ago.

   #6. Power forward Iva Perovanovic (188-83, currently plays in Euroleague) managed to help Nadezhda Orenburg to win against the seventh-ranked Arras (2-10) 89-71 in the Euroleague on Wednesday night. She scored only 4 points and added 3 passes. Nadezhda Orenburg (8-4) is placed third in group B. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Perovanovic's overall stats this season are: 8.2ppg and 5.7rpg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Montenegrin National Team roster.

International power forward Sanja Knezevic (188-84, currently plays in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala was not able to secure a victory for Sp.Studentesc (8-12) in their last game. Despite Knezevic's very good performance Sp.Studentesc was crushed 84-59 at home by the second-ranked Satu Mare. She was the top scorer with 15 points. Knezevic also added 7 rebounds in 35 minutes. It was Sp.Studentesc's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Knezevic's overall stats are: 7.4ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.2apg in the 19 games. She is also Montenegrin national team player.

   #8. Swingman Eshaya Murphy (181-85, college: USC, currently plays in Russia) helped Dynamo Kursk win their game against the league outsider BC Rostov (1-12) crushing them 92-50 in the Russian PBL last Monday. Murphy recorded only 2 points. Dynamo Kursk (8-4) is placed fourth in the PBL. Murphy's total stats this season are: 8.3ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg. She plays currently for the Montenegrin national team.

   #9. International power forward Milica Jovanovic (189-89, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milka Bjelica and both played together in the last Turkish TKBL game. Jovanovic helped Besiktas edge the closely-ranked Samsun 73-72. She recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in 38 minutes. Jovanovic is currently sixth on the list of top scorers with 17.0ppg. This year her other stats are: 5.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.9spg in the 15 games. Jovanovic is also in the roster of the Montenegrin national team.

   #10. Center Natasa Popovic (192-82, currently plays in Russia) couldn't help Spartak Noginsk (2-9) in their game against UMMC Ekaterinburg (11-1) in the Russian PBL. She recorded only 4 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Spartak Noginsk was crushed 78-52 in Ekaterinburg by the leading UMMC. It was Spartak Noginsk's third consecutive loss in a row. Popovic belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #5) and also on the list of best blockers (second place). Her total stats this season are: 5.7ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1.8bpg and 1.8spg. Popovic is an international player who is currently on the senior Montenegrin National Team roster.

   #11. Former international center Hajdana Radunovic (192-78, currently plays in Italy) helped Priolo win their game against the closely-ranked Umbertide 58-55 in the Italian A1 last Sunday. She recorded 8 points in 22 minutes. This year Radunovic's total stats are: 9.5ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.3spg in the four games. She used to play for the Montenegrin national team three years ago.

   #12. Former U16 international center Milica Radonjic (185-93, currently plays in Serbia) helped Vrbas Medela win their game against the tenth-ranked Beocin 71-64 in the Serbian A League on Saturday night. Radonjic recorded 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. She has averaged so far 3.9ppg and 3.0rpg. Radonjic used to play for the Montenegrin U16 national team back in 2008.

   #13. Former international power forward Biljana Turcinovic (186-89, currently plays in Bulgaria) couldn't help Haskovo 2012 in their game against Montana 2003 in the Bulgarian NBL. She scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. Her team lost 68-81. Turcinovic has reliable stats this year: 13.9ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.8spg in the 10 games. She used to play for the Montenegrin national team two years ago.

   #14. Former international guard Zivana Jankovic (174-83, currently plays in Adriatic League), who plays in Bosnia couldn't help Celik (9-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Jankovic's good performance the fifth-placed Celik was badly defeated 65-47 in Beograd by the higher-ranked Radivoj Korac (#3) in the group T of Adriatic League. She was the second best scorer with 11 points. Jankovic also added 3 assists. She has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.6apg. Jankovic used to play for the Montenegrin national team back in 2010.

   #15. International guard Jasmina Bigovic (174-79, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Natasa Popovic and both played together in the last Russian PBL game. Bigovic couldn't help Spartak Noginsk in their game against UMMC Ekaterinburg. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Bigovic recorded only 2 points in 6 minutes on the court. Her team was crushed by 26 points 78-52. She has averaged so far 4.9ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in the 11 games. Bigovic is also in the roster of the Montenegrin national team.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Montenegrin passport:

   #1. Mirjana Beronja (170-PG-86, currently plays in Adriatic League) managed to help Radivoj Korac Beograd in a victory against the fifth-ranked Celik (9-8) 65-47 in the Adriatic League last Saturday. She recorded only 3 points in 17 minutes. Radivoj Korac Beograd (13-4) is placed third in group T. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Adriatic League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Beronja has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.5apg and 1.9spg in the 14 games she played so far.

LF2 newcomer Valencia BC added to their roster 22-year old Montenegrin international power forward Kristina Rakovic (186-94). She already started the season at Buducnost in Montenegrin 1A ZCKL. Rakovic won MZRKL championship title and the cup. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League 2nd Team in 2015. Montenegrin post player Kristina Rakovic (186-F/C-94) joined Valencia (Spain-LF2). She will try to help the team from Valenica to avoid relegation in Spanish 2nd Division. Last season she played for Buducnost in Montenegro and won all throphies with the team from Podgorica (Adriatic League, National Championship and Cup).
