Murphy
Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul (TKBL) added to their roster 28-year old Montenegrin ex-international swingman Eshaya Murphy (181-74kg-85, college: USC). She is a dual citizen owning also Puerto Rican passport. Murphy started the season at Dynamo Kursk in Russian PBL league. In 11 games this season she recorded 8.4ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg. She also played 7 games in Eurocup where she averaged 12.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.9apg and 1.6spg. The most of last summer Murphy spent at Chicago in WNBA. In 29 games she averaged 8.5ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.1spg. She also spent pre-season at Piratas (BSNF) in Puerto Rican league earlier that year.
In 2007 Murphy was drafted by Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in second round (15th overall).
The former University of Southern California staris in her sixth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as she won Spanish LFB championship title in 2012. Murphy was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Guard of the Year in 2009 and 2011. She represented Montenegro at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 13.0ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.8apg, 1.8spg, FGP: 60.0%, FT: 76.9%.
Murphy is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Greece, WNBA (Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics), Spain (Ros Casares, San Jose and Joventud Mariana) and Puerto Rico (Tigres).
