Here is the weekly review of the top performing Montenegrin players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in EuroCup). He was the major contributor in a Valencia Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Khimky (4-2) 92-76 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Dubljevic had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals in 23 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valencia Basket (6-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all six games in the Quarter-Finals. It's Dubljevic's fourth season with the team. Dubljevic has relatively good stats this year: 11.9ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.1apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 49.0%, 3FGP: 34.3% and FT: 86.0% in 14 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Montenegrin senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international center Blagota Sekulic (210-82, currently plays in Spain). Sekulic led Baloncesto Fuenlabrada to a victory over the closely-ranked Zaragoza (7-15) 93-80 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Sekulic recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 10 rebounds. Montakit Fuenlabrada (10-12) is placed tenth in the Liga Endesa. This season Sekulic averages: 7.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 58.4%(45-77), 3FGP: 66.7% and FT: 66.7%. He played for the Montenegrin national team in 2015.

   #3. The Montenegrin player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Milko Bjelica (207-84, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in ABA League). Bjelica was the main contributor in a Crvena Zvezda's victory against the seventh-ranked FMP (10-15) 84-76 in a derby game in the ABA League on Sunday night. He was the best player in that game. Bjelica recorded 17 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (24-1) is placed first in the ABA League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the ABA League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Bjelica has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 56.0%(65-116), 3FGP: 35.2% and FT: 76.6% in 24 games. He has a dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Serbian. Bjelica played for the Montenegrin national team three years ago.

Power forward Nemanja Djurisic (203-92, college: Georgia, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Krosno (13-10) 75-57 in the Polish PLK in Saturday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Djurisic scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Stelmet Zielona Gora (16-6) is placed first in the PLK. Djurisic has reliable stats this season: 10.6ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.1apg. He is also Montenegrin national team player.

   #5. International center Nikola Vucevic (213-90, college: USC, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an Orlando Magic's victory against the Miami Heat (31-34) 110-99 in the NBA last Friday. Vucevic was the top player that evening. He scored 25 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 32 minutes. The Orlando Magic has 24-41 record this season. Vucevic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Magic's roster. Vucevic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 14.4ppg, 10.1rpg and 2.7apg in 59 games. Vucevic plays currently for the Montenegrin national team.

Point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll., currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a FC Barcelona's victory against one of league's weakest teams Unics Kazan (7-18) 70-62 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Rice recorded 9 points and added 4 assists in 18 minutes. FC Barcelona Lassa (10-15) is placed 11th in the Euroleague. Rice's stats this year are: 13.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 5.2apg and 1.2spg in 25 games. He is a naturalized American. Rice is a former international player as he played for the Montenegrin senior team three years ago. Strangely he has never played in Montenegro.

   #7. International shooting guard Vladimir Mihailovic (193-90, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) could not help EWE Baskets (10-4) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Mihailovic's good performance the third-placed EWE Baskets (10-4) was defeated 70-61 on the road by the second-ranked Banvit in the group C of Basketball Champions League. He scored 11 points. It's Mihailovic's first season with the team. Mihailovic's overall stats this year are: 7.9ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.0apg. He is also Montenegrin national team player.

Point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St., currently plays in EuroCup) helped his Russian team Lokomotiv win their game against the closely-ranked Zenit (3-3) 88-77 in the Eurocup on Friday night. Rochestie scored 12 points and added 6 passes in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Lokomotiv Kuban (5-1) is placed first in the Eurocup. Rochestie averaged so far 11.5ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.8apg in 12 games. He is a naturalized American. Rochestie used to play for the Montenegrin national team back in 2014. Apparently he has never played in Montenegro.

   #9. Former international power forward Nemanja Radovic (208-91, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help UCAM Murcia (7-15) in their last game. Despite Radovic's good performance UCAM Murcia was edged 73-70 in Barcelona by the much higher-ranked (#4) FC Barcelona. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Radovic also added 7 rebounds in 26 minutes. This year Radovic's overall stats are: 9.1ppg and 4.2rpg in 20 games. He used to play for the Montenegrin national team three years ago.

   #10. Shooting guard Nikola Pavlicevic (192-88, currently plays in Hungary) was not able to secure a victory for Szolnok (13-8) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Pavlicevic's very good performance Szolnok was defeated 82-73 in Paks by the lower-ranked Atomeromu (#12). He was the top scorer with 20 points. Pavlicevic also added made 5 passes and 3 steals. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Pavlicevic's stats this season are: 14.9ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.2apg and 1.5spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Montenegrin National Team roster.

   #11. Former U20 international swingman Milos Savovic (200-89, currently plays in Serbia) helped Vrsac edge the 11th-ranked OKK Beograd 80-79 in the Serbian KLS in Sunday night's game. Savovic recorded 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. This year Savovic's total stats are: 8.1ppg and 3.2rpg in 17 games. He used to play for the Montenegrin U20 national team eight years ago.

   #12. International forward Marko Todorovic (209-92, currently plays in EuroCup) helped his Russian team Khimky win their game against the league leader Valencia Basket crushing them 98-74 in the Eurocup last Friday. Todorovic scored 6 points, grabbed 5 boards, handed out 4 passes and blocked 2 shots. Todorovic has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.4apg. He is also in the roster of the Montenegrin national team.

   #13. Former international power forward Radosav Spasojevic (204-92, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in ABA League) helped his Serbian team Mega Leks win their game against the sixth-ranked Cibona 100-88 in the ABA League on Saturday night. Spasojevic recorded 14 points in 25 minutes. Spasojevic has averaged so far 9.4ppg and 3.3rpg in 18 games. He used to play for the Montenegrin national team two years ago.

   #14. Former U17 international guard Nikola Vujicic (185-89, currently plays in Serbia) couldn't help KK Jagodina (3-17) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Vujicic's very good performance KK Jagodina was defeated 88-82 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked Pirot (#4). He was the top scorer with 25 points. Vujicic also added 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists. This season Vujicic has very high stats. He averages: 16.6ppg, 6.6rpg, 3.2apg and 1.1spg. Vujicic used to play for the Montenegrin U17 national team back in 2006.

   #15. Former U21 international center Milovan Savic (205-87, currently plays in Bulgaria) helped Spartak Pleven win their game against one of league's weakest teams Yambol 95-88 in the Bulgarian NBL last Saturday. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. Savic also added 2 blocks in 32 minutes. Savic has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.5spg in 15 games. He used to play for the Montenegrin U21 national team ten years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Montenegrin passport but never been selected to any of Montenegrin national teams:

   #1. Nikola Dragovic (206-F-87, agency: BeoBasket, college: UCLA, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) was the major contributor in an ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's victory against the fourth-ranked Aris (8-6) 81-67 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night. He scored 16 points (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line). ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (10-4) is placed second in group C. It's Dragovic's first season with the team. Dragovic's stats this year are: 11.0ppg and 3.7rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Montenegrin. Despite Dragovic's Montenegrin passport, he previously played for the Serbian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Montenegrin team.

   #2. Stefan Ljubenkovic (197-F-95, agency: Mansfield and Associates, currently plays in Serbia) led Spartak to a victory against the closely-ranked Tamis (10-9) 74-60 in the Serbian KLS in Sunday night's game. Ljubenkovic recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. KK Spartak Subotica (12-7) is placed fourth in the KLS. Ljubenkovic's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Montenegrin and Serbian. Despite Ljubenkovic's Montenegrin nationality, he previously played for the Serbian U18 national team and probably cannot be called to the Montenegrin team.

   #3. Experienced Brion Rush (186-PG-84, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Grambling St., currently plays in France) could not help Sluc Nancy (4-17) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Rush's very good performance the bottom-ranked Sluc Nancy was defeated 80-71 on the road by the much higher-ranked Strasbourg IG (#6). He was the top scorer with 22 points. Rush averaged so far 14.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.3apg. He is a naturalized American. Rush used to play for KK Sutjeska Niksic in Montenegrin league.

   #4. Nikola Mirotic (207-F/C-91, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Chicago Bulls in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers (39-26) in the NBA. He scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. The Chicago Bulls (31-33) lost 91-101 in Los Angeles to the Clippers. It was Bulls' third consecutive loss in a row. Mirotic averaged so far 9.1ppg and 5.1rpg in 54 games he played so far. He has both Montenegrin and Spanish nationalities.

   #5. Nikola Vukovic (202-F/C-90, currently plays in Serbia) was not able to secure a victory for Dunav SB (11-8) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Vukovic's good performance Dunav SB was defeated 81-69 in Cacak by the higher-ranked Borac (#3). He recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Vukovic has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 5.4rpg.

   #6. Stevan Milosevic (211-C-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against the seventh-ranked KK Primorska 87-81 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM in Wednesday night's game. He scored 10 points in 26 minutes. Milosevic has averaged so far 6.1ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2apg in 19 games.

   #7. Bojan Pelkic (204-F-83, currently plays in Bosnia) couldn't help Leotar (6-10) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Leotar lost 70-81 at home to the lower-ranked (#9) Bosnjak. Pelkic was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 9 rebounds in 34 minutes. Pelkic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.3ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg in 16 games.

   #8. Boris Lalovic (207-C-81, currently plays in Romania) couldn't help CSU Sibiu (13-7) in their last game. Despite Lalovic's very good performance CSU Sibiu (#3) lost 57-71 in Bucuresti to the second-ranked Steaua CSM in the Places 1-6 group. He was the second best scorer with 15 points in 32 minutes. Lalovic averaged so far 11.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.1apg in 21 games.

   #9. Milos Komatina (206-F/C-84, currently plays in Romania) couldn't help BC Timisoara (10-10) in their last game. Despite his good performance BC Timisoara (#6) lost 70-77 in Sibiu to the higher-ranked (#3) CSU Sibiu in the Places 1-6 group. Komatina was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 4 steals in 29 minutes. Komatina averaged so far 12.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg in 21 games.

   #10. Dragomir Marojevic (207-C-81, currently plays in Bosnia) contributed to Gradjanski's victory against the closely-ranked Siroki Primorka 76-71 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I in Saturday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 15 rebounds. Marojevic also added 2 blocks. Marojevic averaged so far 12.7ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.5apg.

In 7 Erste Liga games he had 12.3ppg, 1.3rpg and 5.1apg this season. He also played 27 games in ABA League where he recorded 10.3ppg, 2.5rpg and 6.1apg.
