Keravnos continues his unbelievable winning strike after beating tonight APOEL in awesome road win with 64-70. Even though the team of Coach Leivadiotis had a terrible third period when the APOEL players and especially Akeem Wright (200-F/G-84, college: Kansas St.) succeeded an amazing 28-12 in 12 minutes to bring the game to the absolute zero as the score became 61-61 with the team of Keravnos not being able to score for quite some time while APOEL with Akeem Wright succeeded the comeback which though didn't had the right result as at the end, the visitors were much better and with simple basketball kept APOEL to 9 points in 10 minute to finally win the game and continue the winning strike..
The game was a monologue in the first twenty minutes as Keravnos with Barker as a leading figure took a double digit lead with the half time ending to a relaxed 33-50 and with Keravnos players thinking that the game came to an end earlier as they did some weeks before when they thrashed the Nicosia team succeeding the greatest victory ever against their rivals, but Coach Koustenis and Akeem Wright had a different opinion and found Keravnos in a total chaos when they outscore their opponent five minutes to the end, succeeding a solid 28-11 to bring the score to the 61-61, but somewhere over there Keravnos came back and succeeded a crucial 3-9 in the last minutes to finally win the game and become the absolute boss in the regular season..
APOEL: Akeem Wright 27 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 turnovers in 33 minutes, Bussey 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist and 2 turnovers (with not good stats though) in 38 minutes!! Keravnos: Barker 16 points, 4 rebound, 1 assist and 7 turnovers!! in 32 minutes, Nikolaos Stylianou (198-F-88, college: W.Texas A&M) 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assist 1 turnover, 2 steals in 24 minutes!, Ross 12 points, Abukar 11 points.
It is worth mentioned that APOEL played without Kounas while Keravnos played without Neophytou.
MVP of the game was Nikolaos Stylianou with his very mature game at the end when the two teams were in total balance he was able to give to crucial assist while his smart game and his absolute passion were amazing.. He was the X factor of the game.
On the other game of the week, AEK Larnakas thrashed ETHA with 110-58 in a game which doesn't need many details. Dasic and Petrovic were the top scorer for AEK with 18 and 17 points respectively and on behalf of ETHA the newcomer Baden Jaxen (190-G-90, college: N.Carolina) was the top score with 21 points followed by Ortiz who scored 12.. It is also worth mentioning that the top scorer of the league, Esho split ways with ETHA..

This letter is on behalf of AO Terpsithea Glyfadas in the A1 women's league in Glyfada, Greece represented by its president with the hopes that the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the Hellenic Basketball Federation (HEBA) will put this team under investigation and withhold them from ever having a team again and also from continuing the rest of the season.
AO Terpsithea is in breach of contract with its players by committing the following wrongs; team upper management betting/fixing of games, late increment payments in cash to players, lack of payment to players, coaches and staff, failure to provide stable living environments, lack of sufficient health insurance, failure to provide two meals a day and transportation to and from practice as well as games.
There are been three coaches that quit the team because of betting, lack of pay and the players not eating. The following coaches were Coach Kostas Fatouras, Giannis Damalis, and George Hatzidakis. There were five Americans that quit and one they have playing and have not paid her for four months and told in front of all the members of the team that they don't plan on paying her. Another girl on the team tore her ACL and they lacked insurance which was in the contract to help her get surgery. They got the insurance after the fact and it is hindering her from getting surgery. She tore her ACL in November 2016 it is now January 2017 and she still hasn't had her surgery and they have not helped her at all. That also happened to a Greek player against a team called AEO Proteas Voulas. She tore her ACL and they refused to pay for her surgery, after the game they failed to communicate with her and left her to do everything on her own. She ended up paying out of pocket for her surgery.
As far as the food is concerned. They owe a restaurant in Glyfada called Red Pepper over $2.500. One day when the players walked in there the owners told the girls they could not eat anymore because the presidents failed to answer their phones and pay their restaurant their previous debts. They also lost another restaurant that was owned by a sponsor in paleo Faliro called The Tsigkouinos- Skewers.
Some players have gone some days without eating because of team's lack of providing food for them. There is live betting during the games and one of the players saw one of the presidents counting hundreds of dollars under the table during a practice and claimed he didn't have any money for anyone in the team..
They have never paid on time to any players according to the contract and they pay only in cash and little by little, never the full amount they owe to. The player's games are fixed and they bet against them to lose so that they can get money. Several Greek girls have quit and left the team and now the team plays with younger girls (coming from the academies) most of them belong to the junior team ages 15-16 years old.
The team currently has no Americans or any other foreign player. Only about three to four players come to practice each day. There is such a lack of professionalism. The General manager of the team is now the head coach!! of the team and they have currently a losing record of 1 - 9. The second injured player has yet to receive her surgery which is very essential and important to continue her career as a basketball player and has been warned she may not be able to live in the rented home which the team has placed her in throughout the remainder of the season. The team has worked tirelessly with the club before coming to this point and has ran out of patience.
At the beginning of the year two girls stayed in a one bedroom house with no Wi-Fi, no TV, no air conditioning and no windows which was stated in the contract. None of the players were paid for the month of December 2016 and there was never a written agreement where they signed and said it was ok for them not to get paid in time or at all!!. Before the girls left there were five girls that stayed in a three bedroom house. Before they got the house some girls were staying in the president's house sleeping at his bed while he slept on the couch.
Lastly after a game against AO Dafni Agioy Dimitriou someone overheard the wife of the president say that they will refuse to let the girls leave and receive their player's card and that they will do whatever they can even if it's taking them to court.
This is not a professional team and the management and presidents are not honest neither professionals.
We would like them to be put under investigation for their abuse and wrong doings to their female players. The team would love to file a lawsuit or go to court against the management staff of the of AO Terpsithea.
Thank you for your time, Members of the team AO Terpsithea

The team of Coach Christoforos Livadiotis , Keravnos Strovolou after the shock of the second week (home loss from E.N Paralimni) is unbeaten after succeeding an amazing round with awesome road wins in Larnaka, Limassol, Paralimni, and Nicosia beating all its opponents and some of them, the toughest teams (AEK and APOEL) with some quite huge deficits. The Architect of this team, Coach Christoforos Livadiotis after a first season in Strovolos, (last season) saw his "mistakes" and correct them with the best feasible way as he kept his team together and only did the necessary additions. He brought in Strovolos, the experience forward Mohamed Abukar and the power forward/center Terrell Parks, with this two additions and of course all the other players of the team, Keravnos became a solid team who's nearly top in all the divisions. More precisely, the Strovolos team is the top team in the offence, in rebounds, in assists and in steals, while the awesome factor of the team this season is that at least 10 players have vital time on the rotation with 8 of them being very active..
Coach Christoforos Livadiotis every now and then is using also the talented youngsters, Panagiotis Markou, Pavlos Stavrinides and Orestis Andreou, while the experienced Theocharidis and Neophytou (especially the second one) together with Simon Michael, have special roles and sometimes these roles are key roles.. The basic structure of the team and the producers (points, rebounds, assists and steals) are the Cyprus International forward Stylianou, the Somalian (with American Passport) Abukar, the veteran Ross, Barker, O' Brien and Parks have been exchanging the top seats in all the statistical boards week by week...
The secret of this team is that it's simply a TEAM at all levels. The players of Keravnos do play for the team, Coach Christoforos Livadiotis who was totally supported by the management of the team, even though last season was not the most successful one for Keravnos, was able to work without any other internal issues, harmonically and influence his players with his own personal mentality, the mentality of the team. It's not coincidence that in each and every game the X'Factor" of the team is different, nearly never the same.. The one night is Abukar, the second night is Stylianou, the third night is Simon Michael, the forth night is Ross and O' Brien and so on and so forth.... Keravnos players play for the team and not for their personal stats... A mixture of experienced players (Abukar, Ross, Theocharides and Neophytou) together with quality players (Stylianou, O' Brien, Barker and Parks) and young talented passionate players (Simon Michael, Markou, Stavrinides, Andreou) do match an amazing group of team-mates. One of the few seasons that a team does play total basketball as a team and not because some stand outs are super players and they lead the team like the previous seasons when the teams had a couple of amazing players and were leading up in all the games.. This season is difference, this season is more of a team and less for leading figures, this season could be different for the Strovolos fans and players.. Obviously nothing is end and the season still has a long way to go but... something different is smelling in Strovolos... In a couple of months we will be able to witness whether this season will be different for Keravnos or it will be one and the same like all the previous seasons.... Abukar, Ross, Stylianou, O' Brien. Barket et all will take it until the very end or the team will explode? Will the remaining serious contenders (AEK and APOEL) add players who will make the difference or will the situation remain the same... Let's not forget that Keravnos beat both his competitors in their home courts with extremely impressive road wins..... Who knows, we will see what the future predicts!!!!
No matter what, Coach Christoforos Livadiotis is doing a unique job in Strovolos and they will need to do something over there in order not to lose him this summer from a foreign league, i.e. Greek A1, as his mate, Konstantinides did last summer in AGOR and is doing quite great......
