The Norwegian U20 NT took a strong win i the Baltic cup in Helsinki, Finland. A 14 point loss to Finland U20 in the first match was followed by two wins, 81-60 over Finland B (the U23 NT) and 86-77 over Sweden U20. The other results were Finland U20-Finland B 62-90, Finland U20-Sweden U20 74-70 and SwedenU20-Finland B 66-84. This gave us a standing where three teams ended 2-1. Sweden and Finland are both known to have decent national teams so this is a very strong achievement for a Norwegian team. Mathias Eckhoff coached the team.

Norwegian U20 National team posted the second win at the Baltic Cup international tournament in Finland. They defeated their Swedish counterparts to improve at 2-1 record. Magne Fivelstad (193-G/F-89) tallied 24 points and 5 boards to propel Norway to the win. Sweden finished the tournament winless.

Norway U20 - Sweden U20 86:77 Norwegian U20 National team posted the second win at the Baltic Cup international tournament in Finland. They defeated their Swedish counterparts to improve at 2-1 record. Magne Fivelstad (193-G/F-89) tallied 24 points and 5 boards to propel Norway to the win. Sweden finished the tournament winless. Norway opened the game with ten straight points to mark their ambitions. Pettersson stopped the bleeding for Sweden with a three-pointer. But Fivestad finished the first frame with 8 points to lift Norway to a 28:16 advantage at the first intermission. Anton Gaddefors (193-G-89) accounted for 10 points in the second stanza as Sweden tried to change the complexion of the game. They cut the distance to just 8 points at halftime. Nagwere opened the second half with a trey as Sweden clipped the margin at 5 points early in the third quarter. However Nicolay Ostby and Mjos sank several timely baskets as Norway restored a safe 14-point cushion heading into the fourth quarter. Anton Gaddefors, Nilsson and Ryan pulled Sweden as close as 8 points midway through the fourth term but Norway did not panic and ensured the winning outcome at the end. Nicolay Ostby delivered 20 points for Norway. Roy Emeka notched 16 points in the winning case. Anton Gaddefors responded with 14 points for Sweden. Omar Zaghdane had 13 points in defeat.

Tromso Storm have signed two Norwegian guards and seems to get a strong backcourt next season. Hani Issalhi (187-G-84) has signed a four year contract and Ifiok Adahada (187-G-87) has signed a 2+2 contract. Issalhi has been in Storm since the 2005-06 season and has developed into the role as the natural PG of the team. He was negotiating with Storm for a long contract but the club couldn't find room for his wishes. Now they have, and he is back. Adahada is a new man in Storm [read more]
