Cooper Land
American Cooper Land (203-F-88, agency: Warren Sports International) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Asker Aliens and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 23-year old forward had the game-high 32 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Asker Aliens in his team's victory, helping them to beat Baerum Basket (#3, 9-4) 81-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Asker Aliens maintains the 2nd position in Norwegian BLNO. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Asker Aliens will need more victories to improve their 10-3 record. In the team's last game Land had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Asker Aliens' top player in his first season with the team. Wright State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Land is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.8ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.5rpg) and averages solid 56.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 33-year old former international forward Ronny Karlsen (202-F-78) of Centrum. Karlsen impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Centrum to edge slightly higher-ranked Baerum Basket (#3, 9-4) by 3 points 76-73. This victory allowed Centrum to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Karlsen is a newcomer at Centrum and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#3). He also registered 8.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Asker Aliens' star - American Anthony Lee-Ingram (198-F, agency: Warren Sports International). Lee-Ingram scored 21 points and grabbed nineteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Asker Aliens, helping his team with a 81-72 win against #3 ranked Baerum Basket in a game of the week. Asker Aliens needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Lee-Ingram has a great season in Norway. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.9rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Morten Sahlertz (198-F-89) of Tromso - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Brad Byerson (201-F-85) of Tromso - 21 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Ronny Karlsen (202-F-78) of Centrum - 16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Gisle Klubnes (202-C-84) of Langhus - 16 points and 16 rebounds
8. Brad Byerson (201-F-85) of Tromso - 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Gary Wallace (190-G-88) of Tromso - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Frank Nyborg (197-F-83) of Centrum - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
