The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oslo: Ullern (#1) and Oslo Tigers (#5). Ullern (14-3) smashed visiting Oslo Tigers (4-13) by 61 points 93-32. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oslo Tigers to just 3 points in first quarter and to 14 points in second half. Ullern dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Oslo Tigers' 22. Ullern forced 27 Oslo Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 42-22 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Oslo Tigers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Kristine Kristiansen (-75) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 assists and 7 steals. International forward Therese Hager (183-86, college: Sam Houston St.) contributed with 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Teuta Haxhimehmedi (168-95) replied with 7 points and 5 rebounds for Oslo Tigers. Ullern maintains first position with 14-3 record. Oslo Tigers at the other side keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Ullern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Oslo Tigers will play at home against Ulriken (#3) in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Oslo: Ammerud (#2) and Oslo Tigers (#5). Ammerud (12-4) smashed visiting Oslo Tigers (4-13) by 35 points 66-31. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Tina Nesse (184-84) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Benedikte Huuse who added 4 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Ammerud's coach Patxi Exposito felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Uzoma Ifejilika responded with 7 points and 9 rebounds. Ammerud have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Ammerud maintains second position with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader Ullern. Oslo Tigers at the other side keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Ammerud will play against Ulriken (#3) in Bergen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Oslo Tigers will play at home against Ulriken in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between fourth ranked Gimle (9-8) and 6th ranked NTNUI Basket (1-17) in Bergen on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Gimle outscored guests from Trondheim 113-48. The winners were led by D'lesha Lloyde who had that evening a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 16 points by Ellen Skjonsfjell did not help to save the game for NTNUI Basket. Gimle have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-8 record. NTNUI Basket lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last game of round 16 bottom-ranked NTNUI Basket was smashed by Ulriken on the road 96-33.

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Ulriken (10-5) crushed bottom-ranked NTNUI Basket (1-17) in Bergen 96-33 on Saturday. Ulriken dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to NTNUI Basket's 30 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while NTNUI Basket only scored three points from the stripe. Ulriken forced 41 NTNUI Basket turnovers. The winners were led by forward Helene Kongestol (182-93) who scored that evening 28 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Emilie Gronas (168-92) supported her with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 10 steals. Four Ulriken players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds by forward Charlene Gris did not help to save the game for NTNUI Basket. Very significant was Asker's (#3, 5-3) victory against 4th placed Hoybraten (2-5) 61-45. The game was mostly controlled by Asker. Hoybraten managed to win fourth quarter 14-2. 22-year old point guard Sigrid Hardie (163-PG-94) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bergen and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. She had the game-high 12 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Bergen in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Gimle Pride (#5, 2-5) 59-57.
