It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in Kvinneligaen, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.

Undefeated Ulriken (2-1) recorded its first loss in Oslo on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Ullern (2-1) 74-47. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ulriken. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ulriken to just 7 points in third quarter. Ullern made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Ulriken turnovers and outrebounded them 33-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Tina Moen (181-86, college: IPFW) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Christina Muren (172-94) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Ullern's coach Inge Kristiansen felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Anita Grimstad (177-88) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ullern moved-up to second place, which they share with Ammerud and Ulriken. Ullern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ulriken's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bergen to the arena Gimle.

It was a good game for international center Tina Nesse (183-84) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Marianne Sand contributed with 14 points for the winners. Ammerud's coach Morten Sanden used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Shirin El-Masrouri (173-93) answered with 13 points and 4 steals for Oslo Tigers. Ammerud (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with Ullern and Ulriken. Oslo Tigers at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with BC Asker. Ammerud will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Oslo Tigers will play on the road against BC Asker (#5) in Rykkinn and hope to get finally their first victory.
Undefeated leader Gimle delivered the third consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked BC Asker (0-3) 79-60 in Rykkinn. It was a great evening for Justina Udenze who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists. Gimle's coach Gunnar Gran used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Kristine Skorpen with 20 points and 5 assists. Gimle have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record. Loser BC Asker still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Oslo Tigers. Gimle will meet at home Ulriken (#4) in the next round. BC Asker will play against Oslo Tigers and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

BC Asker - Gimle 60-79

Undefeated leader Gimle delivered the third consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked BC Asker (0-3) 79-60 in Rykkinn. The game was mostly controlled by Gimle. BC Asker managed to win second period 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gimle dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to BC Asker's 40. They outrebounded BC Asker 54-24 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Nigerian center Justina Udenze (189-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian-American guard Sthefany Thomas (173-89, college: Clemson) helped adding 15 points and 13 rebounds. Gimle's coach Gunnar Gran used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Kristine Skorpen (170-94) with 20 points and 5 assists and Kristine Lindholm (180-95) scored 13 points. Former international Forward Maren Hoff Austgulen (182-F-91) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Ulriken, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 25-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Gimle Pride (#5, 2-6) 70-60. Very significant was Asker's (#3, 5-3) victory against 4th placed Hoybraten (2-5) 61-45. The game was mostly controlled by Asker. Hoybraten managed to win fourth quarter 14-2. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asker forced 21 Hoybraten turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 22-year old point guard Sigrid Hardie (163-PG-94) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bergen and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. She had the game-high 12 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Bergen in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Gimle Pride (#5, 2-5) 59-57.
