It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in BLNO, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.

The most exciting game of round 5 in the BLNO took place in Bekkestua. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Froya Basket (2-3) to sixth ranked Baerum Basket (2-2) 83-81 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Froya Basket won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Froya Basket 40-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Keith Thompson (197-90, college: Utah Valley) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. Uruguayan-German guard Phillip Holm (175-80) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Latvian point guard Reno Silavs (180-91) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Baerum Basket moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Froya Basket dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face higher ranked Tromso (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Froya Basket will play against Asker Aliens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Oslo was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Gimle BBK (3-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Ammerud Bskt (1-3). Gimle BBK did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-59. American forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Stian Enge contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Ronald Timus (197-84, college: Morgan St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for Ammerud Bskt. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gimle BBK moved-up to second place. Ammerud Bskt at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Gimle BBK will play against league's leader Centrum in Oslo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ammerud Bskt will have a break next round.

BLNO Norway-BLNO World 105-97 BLNO Norway overcame BLNO World 105-97 in All Star Game. The World Team won the first period 31-23 dominating the court. Team Norway managed to reduce the gap in the second frame and trailed 52-47 at the halftime. Team Norway continued their run in the third period and later grabbed a 85-73 lead in the start of the last quarter. They managed to seal a final 105-97 win. Djo Yele(203-F/C-82) finished the game with an amazing dunk.   [read more]

Cuban-American Juan Ferrales (188-G-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Kongsberg and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16. The 25-year old guard had the game-high 35 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Kongsberg in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Centrum (#7, 9-10) 100-97. BLNO Round 16: Kongsberg edges Centrum by three points - 4 days ago
Sixth-ranked Centrum (9-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Kongsberg (15-2) in Oslo on Thursday. The visitors from Kongsberg managed to secure only three-point victory 100-97. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game.
